I used 3.x until they asked me to pay for 4.x In general VS Code seems to be a better choice for my needs (Rust and MSBuild+C#+WPF on a corporate Windows laptop that I don't have administrator rights for)

It’s also not free and you can disable that bs in VS Code with a single toggle in the settings (Which is easier than doing the same in VS2026 that requires group policy for some real uncompromising eradication)

tl;dr I have a reverse caching proxy (Varnish) straight on my server that hosts the wikis, with Anubis and iocaine in front anonymous users always get cached versions of the pages, and the load balancer also blocks all heavy URLs (page history, recent changes, you name it) for these users

まひろ・アポカリプス @mahiro.netojuu.com · 04/10/2026

I've experienced some heavy scraping of the wikis I host, it has been a long and uphill battle but at the moment things seem to have settled down MediaWiki, however, is somewhat easy to cache nicely (I do not use Cloudflare for the PHP side of things, it only caches images with a different domain)

And then you have biases, observer/survivor type most often, as — like you suggested before — people would often avoid public eye after the fact Let’s say someone truly repents, but with the society reacting like this using their real name and whatnot becomes extremely risky

I feel there’s also the whole ‘young and stupid’ angle fuelled by hormones, hypersexuality, and often less-than-welcome peer pressure too

I’ve figured out how the rites of ways come to be. It’s all because some noun authors properly and meticulously dis-/un-/de-ise all of the accesses. Yes, most don’t, which is why you see NOUN AUTHOR ISED ACCESS everywhere in the Republic of Ireland, but some do. So you can hold the rite of ways.
