A trip to 2 countries, 3 library conferences, 4 cities, and many bookstores does create something of a packing problem.

Stacks of books and zines acquired on a two-week library-centric trip.

Thanks to all of the excellent members of the working groups; we put together some good arguments and resources on the importance of cataloging and metadata work!!

Heads up if you oppose these changes to LCSH, whether cataloger or not; this is the only day to comment! #critcat

Taking time to notice the flowers around campus today.

Photo of canopy of hanging white flowers and leaves of a Bengal trumpet vine in front of a college building, with concrete benches underneath.

Branch in newly blooming pink and white flowers from a Baker’s shower tree, against a cloudy sky with patches of blue.

Inspired by a comment from @bibliowingate.bsky.social , behold my newest metadata-related embroidery project. #metadata

Piece of embroidery with the words metadata, very demure, very mindful surrounded by flowers, a lace collar, and a bookshelf in shades of pink, purple, and gray.

Couldn’t find the book I was looking for at the local Barnes and Noble, then wandered off after asking after it, so I had to respond to “will the customer looking for Absolution come to the reference desk.”

I’m going to say it was the discussion of various magic book conventions in @book-historia.bsky.social ‘s class that caused me to go arguably too hard painting this children’s Halloween craft kit from target.
