Had a fantastic and totally chaotic game of #gaslands today. I won thanks to being the fluke last survivor of a chain wrecksplosion. Lesson learned - a larger track is probably faster to finish due to less collisions!
Starting grid of diecast post-apocalyptic battle cars, featuring: Routemaster bus, spiky green car, blue-green 50's ish saloon, Jeep on top of tank tracks, blonde haired rocker riding atop a car with excessive numbers of speakers, yellow old-timey flatbed truck and narwhal horned 30's delivery van.More diecast car chaos halfway through round one when things have already gone wrong for several of the vehicles.

Google Maps is really bad with any location that is a 1D line rather than a 0D point. If I search for a road, a path or a river I want to see the whole thing, not a point somewhere near its centre. Any alternatives that handle this better? #maps # googlemaps

Had a mad dream where I stayed the night in a big Airbnb with my extended family. I watched the 1999 Patrick Stewart _A Christmas Carol_ last night and spotted the topical 90s joke that the writers slipped in. In the original, Scrooge attributes seeing Marley's ghost to "an undigested piece of beef." In this one it is "a piece of British beef."

You can’t afford a coal mine.

You can’t afford a gas turbine.

You can’t afford an oil rig.

Only fossil fuel states and billionaires can.

But you can afford a solar power station on your roof.

Now, ask yourself why you encounter so much anti-renewable energy propaganda.

Now in detailed Black and White: The #Trump administration is blackmailing other countries to actively destroy the environment at the behest of the US oil industry. There is no sugarcoating it. Evil seems a fitting adjective. #MännerDieDieWeltVerbrennen
An ambassador from Asia was told that, if he voted in favor of the plan, his country’s sailors would no longer be allowed to disembark at American ports. Caribbean diplomats were told that they could be blacklisted from entering the United States. And Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, personally called officials in several countries to threaten financial penalties and other punishments if they continued to support the agreement to cut ship pollution.

These and other threats, including tariffs, sanctions and the revocation of diplomats’ U.S. visas, effectively killed the deal, according to the nine American, European and developing-nation diplomats directly involved in the negotiations. They spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of retribution from the Trump administration

One of the ways that LLM-authored code improves productivity is by merely SAYING it does things. It's way faster than the whole time-consuming process of actually doing things. This is real code someone sent to me for review.
A screenshot of a code editor. The line numbers are in the lefthand column, running from 121 to 125. There is a comment that says "Verify packages were created and check sizes" Then line 123 says echo Verifying Lambda packages were created... and Line 124 says echo checkmark emoji colon All Lambda packages verified successfully. There is no line in here that actually did anything.
