#JonasTranslation. Jonas complaining about Carolingian graveyard trashers: "For there are some who in order to build beautiful houses for themselves, are not afraid to dig out burial places of the dead, and throw their bones and ashes to the elements."

#JonasTranslation Bible misrepresentation: "those who, raging with avarice, do not allow burials in their fields without a monetary price, seem to imitate Ephron, who asked and received money from Abraham, the servant of God and sold him the field where he would bury his dead." (Genesis 23:7-20)

Problems with being poor & ill in the Carolingian world #JonasTranslation 1) Jonas says powerful people ought to visit you when you're ill... "For just as all are equal by condition of nature, thus they are to be visited equally when they are sick, disregarding respect for persons." (1/3)

Good news from #JonasTranslation: guardian angels. Less good news: accountability for time wasted: "That the Lord is going to demand fruit from us, whatever good thing we ought to have said or done in each moment of time: and that an angel is allotted to every individual for the sake of protection"
