Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I concur with this. Totally consistent with my experience. Everyone has a plan until they are punched in the face and all that. 021
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Agreed. It’s a lot easier on the long side. Having what I think is a winner on the long halve is much less brain damage than having a short position double on you. There is no comparison 010
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Yep. And write down what you will do when it hits said ceiling! 010
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 03/10/2026And there in sits the dilemma of mastering the short. You know yourself. There’s value in that. But my god, as you point out, self doubt will hurt. You need the confidence the market is only borrowing money from you. But getting it back is inevitable. Bloody hard. 140

Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Oh you are well seated in Australian culture… Gettin square is ok, if in need of a watch. David wenham has a mint performance. His spin off didn’t quite work though 000
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I have so many questions….but I’ll start intruding my grandmother is from Adelaide. Did not run a winery and certainly too pious for BBB 000
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I thought you’d like it. You’re a hard person to introduce original content to! Your grandmother must be quite the lady. You sound like a lucky grandchild 000
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Yes sir. Albeit I’d prefer a more genuine democracy had the same…. But maybe that’s a mutually exclusive matter these days 000
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Plus the spin offs. It creates an environment where your economy get more competitive and flywheels positives. Short term pain is hard though. Population does not like that part (which is understandable) 001
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I think if you were a serious government, willing to show a serious commitment to fiscal responsibility and balance your budget, you would absolutely clean up. The run to a government people trust going forward would get you silly cheap funding. It would become a competitive advantage 100
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I can’t see it happening at these debt levels. It it does, currencies will zero 010
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I don’t disagree. Either it’s mayhem (currency blow up) or rates go back down. Way down. High rates and the currencies cannot both survive at this debt level. 001
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 21/09/2026As you have said before: transaction costs are low. Only real cost is the mental energy to change your mind. Every day is a new day. Don’t let what you did yesterday change what you ought do to today. How you lost it does not need to be how you make it back. Often isn’t 040

Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Home battery folk subsidized by heavier grid users and it will get unsustainable. Gas gen will need to be available for freak periods of no sun and wind. Grid access charge incoming. 000
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 16/09/2026It’s not quite that simple as you sit here today. You will have periods (maybe a couple of weeks a year in total) where you will run out of battery power (overcast and hot) Now maybe batteries get so cheap you can have cost effective redundancy but that’s no the case today. 100
Why no learn? @magicminto.bsky.social · 15/09/2026@outfromthepast.bsky.social as you foreshadowed: www.afr.com/companies/en...afr.comSodium batteries to upend lithium dominance in storage: CATLBatteries based on cheaper and more abundant sodium instead of lithium could revolutionise the market as soon as next year, according to an industry leader. 020
