He said on interview it’s an automatic red - laws of the game - and fully accepted the explanation. He claimed it rebounded off him before he could react and had no intention of time wasting. Somehow think if it had happened in 1st minute the interpretation would have been very different

Also - who thought we should have had a penalty for that foul on Matty Palmer. Shoulder barge or blatant foul. I’m a little biased but again I’ve seen ones given against us for less. Luckily it didn’t matter but had it not been for the post and a great save from Bass it may have cost us 2 points.

Yep …. We were in Kop as well and it looked like an assault at the time. We’ve had players given a straight red for far less. By not booking players early it gave them the signal to push it to the limits.
