It's after 2am, I am awake for the #tennis and #F1 and I'm craving coffee and a bagel. Pot of decaf about to get percolated.

So bizarre to see all these #WTA players in qualifying for #Wuhan Stearns, Kenin, Gibson, Kasatkina, Sonmez, Linette, Ruse, Putty, Preston, Kruger, Taraudee, Mcnally, Bondar, Boisson, Joint, Ororio, Volynets Its a tourney on its own! Cool though that Tyra Grant got an alternate slot. #Tennis

Wish someone would stick that FIFA 'peace prize' trophy up his ass.

I love Zoe and Danny. You recognize the actor playing Danny, right?

p.s. There is also a movie, 'MI-5', with Kit Harrington that you should watch only after you finish the series.

It is SO good! I've rewatched it a few times over the years so I remember much about what happens. So many great actors pop up through out the series. Stay keen on that when watching. :)

I watched the documentary MegaDoc when it was on the Criterion Channel (might still be?). I have not yet watched the movie. Quite the fascinating view of Francis Ford Coppola. Seeing him deal with Shia LaBeouf is a drama all on its own.

I swear it is like watching a mirror on both end of the court except that on one end, that player is trying to serve a bagel. Muchova/Bartunkova #Tennis #Beijing

Fell asleep on Gauff/Mertens. Oy. And now I see comments about the social media attack on Coco from her prior match. WTF is wrong with people? (rhetorical) #Beijing #Tennis

Almost a decade later, the wet start from Singapore in 2017 is still one of the most dramatic ones we've ever seen 🥴 #F1 #SingaporeGP

p.s. I also think 'mini' refers to age not physical attributes. ;)

Magenta Rocks @magentarocks.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

LOL. I really think it is the headband. I guess when we see them on the court together it will either confirm or disprove the playing style similarities. :)

Magenta Rocks @magentarocks.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Very very excited for the QF Muchova / Bartunkova match in #Beijing. Some (including me) have called Nikola "mini-Muchova" mainly because of the headband but there are similarities in their playing style. They have not played each other before. Should be a fun match! #Tennis

Dozed off at the start of the 2nd set of 😈's match to awake and see novax holding up the trophy. WTF? Oh no retirement for 😈. Watched the replay. They said groin injury. I didn't see 😈 give any facial expressions to indicate an issue. SO bummed for Alex. #Tennis #Beijing
