I'd be panicked and confused and out of sorts and my shaking hands would instinctively do familiar things like trying to fix my hair or smooth out my skirt when I get a breather even though I'm being chased by a giant monster and every time you spot me again my lip would quiver because it isn't fair

Exactly yes- suspension of disbelief vanishes very easily the more the micro acts straightforwardly like "person with a kink who is Finally Getting Their Fantasy Yay" they can still get to be this sometimes, but they gotta work toward it in character, there needs to be context!
