iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Still I have made a lot of stuff so we'll see where this lil creation will end up. I at least shouldn't scrap it. So I will release it someday, but I need a little break to not burn out. Maybe next years jam lol

When I started this project last year it was a classic visual novel in renpy but along the way it turned into a visual novel hybrid in unity which has been super fun but way to ambitious with the time scope I had.

I have so much left to do and I don't want to release something half finished and broken, so I won't make it to this years #yaoijam which is a bummer

I have been working on this project with a delusional optimism that I will finish it before the deadline but I have been very aware of it being delusional

The federation at least plays by the rules. Chance Tanyer has never been accused of that.

100

With the Federation closing in and nowhere left to run, Kit is cornered between the two worst options imaginable, the people hunting him and the notorious captain of the Rose. But Chance Tanyer doesn’t kill him. He does something worse. He takes an interest in Kit.

Keep your head down. Keep your mouth shut. Keep off the Federation’s radar. Those have been the three rules Kit has lived by for the last couple of years. He breaks all of them in one night when he steals from the most dangerous pirate in the outer rim.

First official day of vacation and I want to work on my lil spacepirate game but now follows like three weeks of traveling 🫠 so we'll see how much devtime I can sneak in

A lot better then the winter office view! 🙃

all the art will be 3d in a semi-"painterly" style, spent this past week after work blocking out the ship in maya and hope I will get to start texturing it soon. It kind of looks like a 🐋✨ #gamedev

BUT if I don’t rewrite, script is basically done, MC1 basically done, UI kind of done, three backgrounds and four characters left.

concern #2: solid chance I won't finish this year either

concern #1: after a year of sitting with it I kind of want to rewrite the whole thing in a new direction but I don't got time for that.

It’s been called space opera in my google docs for the longest time but it finally has a name I like. A Dead Man's Paradox. A short sci-fi steampunk, slow-burn enemies-to-something between a cornered thief and the pirate who catches him.

Yaoijam entry thread. New attempt to finish my spacepirate visual novel from last year! I’m doing a million things in july though so we'll see how far I'll get 🫠
