If we're not ready now, then when? It's one of the things we can actually achieve in a timely manner to make a massive & positive difference. Society always struggles with change but that is no reason to stop fighting for programs/policies/laws that are forward thinking & proven to be beneficial.

Sorry for the delay! I believe it is absolutely the best way to hold society together. Being in the arts & knowing many others in "non-office" jobs, I experienced & saw how many people were literally saved from homelessness + with covid payments. We wouldn't have qualified for any other gov help.

A figure skating boot is higher & more stable. This provides more ankle support for jumps, spins, etc. Hockey skates are lower for more flexibility. If they're for a beginner, the most important thing is decent ankle support & comfort. Ankle pads can be worn w/ any type of skate to help with both.
010
madmcg.bsky.social @madmcg.bsky.social · 05/01/2026
Yes, hockey skates do not have the same support as figure skates. They are lower with a shorter curved blade. Decent figure skates have much more ankle support, a longer blade and toe picks. If you don't trip on the picks, figure skates are more stable.

It will become a stranded asset. The reality is that it won't create many jobs long term (about 200). O&G in '14 hired 128 workers for every mill. barrels of oil produced. '24, thanks to automation &downsizing, that # was 61. AB oil prod is ever increasing yet the people no longer reap the benefits.

I mean 🇨🇦 gov wants to fast track the Ksi Lisims LNG terminal which is 100% owned by Texas Western LNG that is financed by Blackstone & Apollo so I wouldn't say those in power in 🇨🇦 are truly that concerned about continued ties to the US. The only ones "diversifying away" are the people of 🇨🇦.

These massive signs will not slow many down. What actually needs to happen is improved road design. Adding pinch points, chicanes, boulevard trees, strategic/illusion paint, speed humps & cushions, mini roundabouts, etc. are what's needed...& maybe a little wind turbine to power the street lights 😉
