Last week, I was hospitalised due to influenza. It was so scary as I couldn’t even keep water down and after 30 hours of that I was so dehydrated. My husband took me to the local hospital and we were sent to another one straight away, where I was treated promptly due to sepsis risk.

I had pneumonia at the beginning of the year, a bad cold last week, and for the last two days I’ve been sick with fever, chills, aches, and a wicked sore throat. One of my earliest memories is going to the mermaid’s pool (Black Mere Pool in the Peak District) with my parents, and today I got to go back there with my godparents! The pool is said to be bottomless and a mermaid lives there.
