I also got to write for a few of the other team’s press tours which was a lot of fun. There’s so many amazing characters involved in the Altador Cup and I’m glad we’re able to expand on them here even a little!

Despite their steely demeanours, it's a well-known secret that Team Darigan Citadel is one of the most caring and compassionate teams in the Cup, and so it came as no surprise when they stepped up and passed out much-needed supplies to Meridell and others during the spread of the Grey Curse. Yet this normally high-scoring team has also recently tasted what it's like to come in below 10th place; paired with the cancellation of last year, the team's morale has taken a bit of a hit. Many fans were worried when it became clear that the team members were making fewer and fewer appearances in public. Luckily, all worries were quelled when the team's captain, Layton Vickles, announced that they would be throwing a music festival!
The team didn't just organise the event. They gathered, bought, and built everything they couldn't get donated to the festival, including the very stages placed around the Citadel for all sorts of bands to perform on. The roster lineup was impressive. Many indie bands from around Neopia signed up,

For a team that's always burning with passion, taking a year off was certainly difficult for Team Moltara. Some members of the team didn't know what to do with idle hands, while others took the time to relax and fully enjoy the break. Now that they are back, it's plain to see the team is more fired up than ever before, literally! Vere Polnicek, the team's left defender, seems to have built ways for the team to all train together in even the hottest parts of Moltara.
"Oh yeah, I was surprised when Aldric and Tulah asked me to join the team all those years ago," Polnicek commented when asked about her time on the team. "But they said they couldn't do it without me. Since we have a few knuckleheads on the team who wouldn't even know how to build a goalie net if it came preassembled, I figured that was true, so how could I say no?"
Polnicek, being the least heat-resistant member of the team, explained

While the Grey Year was difficult for all, Team Kreludor struggled with not being able to defend their 1st place title. While some may revel in the chance to remain at the top for two years in a row without having to fight for it, this team wanted to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they could hold their own year after year. A few members on the team found an outlet by distributing self-made T-shirts about their previous win, but when all was said and done, they were all itching to get back on the field.
With the upcoming tournament, there has barely been a day that goes by
without the team practising together, until recently, when the powder keg that is the team's right forward, Motor Dahy, finally exploded. Rumour has it that Dahy isn't performing to the high standards of the rest of the team lately.
Supposedly, he's been dropping passes more frequently, and has come up short in scoring as well. His frustrations all seemed to come to a head when, after missing a pass from Qlydae Wegg, the Pteri flipped and stormed off the practice field, pushing over equipment and benches on his way out. For years, scores of Neopia Central-based teams have petitioned for a spot in the Altador Cup, so much so that the Committee has never been able to fully evaluate them all. The amount of requests piled up so high that the Committee discerned that they would never be able to sort through the backlog and fairly give the best team the position, so with this in mind, the Committee wished to right this by allowing a tournament of sorts to take place in the off-season, where any team officially based in Neopia Central could fight for their chance to take the top spot.
The try-outs lasted weeks longer than anticipated as the amount of teams that signed up was unprecedented. Eventually, five teams stood out amongst the crowd, and they were pitted against one another in round-robin scrimmages. The matches went on so long that the Committee had to step in to make the final call. Yet before they could do so, the captains of the competing teams gave a proposition: they requested that each team pick their best member to form a whole new team.

Neopets The Void Within: Ch. 15 While I collaborated on this ch., I mostly worked on the latter part as it was the first ch. I got to be one of the main writers for a short story. We were able to fit in some more details than originally expected and really dive deep into Baelia’s inner emotions.

While not the author for this ch.’s short stories I’m so glad many of the beats and backstory of ‘Fifi’ and Drakara I worked on were able to make it in! The author was even able to work in more detail than we first planned thanks to those stories which was so amazing!!

I also loved creating and writing for the cyoa style puzzle this chapter!! Did you figure out how to listen to the music? 🎵🤔🎶

The intro copy to a choose your own adventure like game that says:

Everything is dark when Nyx awakens. She can't see, and she can barely feel anything.
The last thing she can remember is that a building fell on her - but when she tries to check for the injuries she knows should be there, she finds... nothing where her body should be.
"Am...am I a ghost?" she asks herself. "Am I dead?"
No.
"Oh, good."
She pauses.
"…Wait! Who said that?!"
She waits, but there's no response. As Nyx whirls all around trying to locate the voice she'd heard, she runs face-first into a wall, which seems weird because she's pretty sure she hadn't had a body at all a moment ago, or at least she hadn't been able to feel it. But she still feels pain, which means she probably isn't dead. That's good.
Putting her arms out in front of her, she feels the cold stone she ran into. Must be part of the building that fell on her.
What is going on?!
"Hello?"
Still no response. Is there really someone else here? If so, they may need help.

The Void Within: Chapter 7 This is a chapter I was a main writer for and it was incredible to be trusted with Tavi’s backstory, as well as show some of the first hints at the Grey Painter’s hidden emotions.
