Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 02/10/2026All they’d need to do to be ADA compliant is make exemptions for employees with disabilities, isn’t it? They could still make it a requirement for everybody else, couldn’t they? But maybe there’s some other law that helps them. 020
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Ok can I just say I hate this chart? It’s like they heard “y-axis should always start at 0” and chose malicious compliance. 051
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 01/10/2026They accomplish the same thing. STOP is enforced by the carrier so there’s no getting around it. 000
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Appropriately ridiculed/celebrated: "If the light is off, then it isn't on" Underappreciated: the fact that the line immediately after that is "at least not today" 010
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Maybe this was me being overly charitable but I thought it was just “we try to understand cognitive biases so that we can try to make decisions as rationally as possible while recognizing we share a predisposition to irrational thinking with all humans”. At least early on before they all went nuts. 010
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Also once I saw a Disney cruise vlog where the ship was playing the 1998 Parent Trap score as background music and I want to experience that. 020
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I’ve never been interested in cruises but the Disney ones tempt me just because some of the new themed bars look really cool! If I could somehow buy a day pass to be able to explore the ship while docked I’d pick that over a whole cruise. 110
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 23/09/2026It’s quite popular for human baby girls at the moment too 020
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Like the NYC subway. Female voice announces the stops, male voice gives instructions to passengers. 4341
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Also Pongo & Perdita are by far the best couple so far. #RatingDisneyCouples 010
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 15/09/2026There are many great Disney movies from the xerography era, but I don’t think it ever looked better than in One Hundred and One Dalmatians. 150
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Yeah, if they wanted to keep people part time they could just schedule them fewer days per week, right? (And maybe they do?) IDK how else to explain the short opening hours, though. 000
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 07/09/2026If you’re one of the people who chooses or has no choice but to remain in low-cost housing, you still benefit from vacancy chains because they ease demand for the tier of housing you’re in, slowing the rate at which your rent increases. 001
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 07/09/2026What is the “it” that “presumes”? This isn’t a hypothesis, it’s an observed phenomenon. 101
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Anyone else feel like Laika might be getting *too* good at stop motion animation? The trailer for their new movie is so smooth I really struggle to not perceive it as CGI. If I weren’t familiar with their work I’d probably assume it was. 040
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 07/09/2026In one case in the Honolulu study discussed in this article: “The sale of an apartment costing more than half a million dollars seems to have created a vacancy at a homeless shelter.” archive.is/2026.02.23-2... 010
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Building new market-rate housing, even at the high end, creates vacancy chains that free up older, cheaper units for lower income people. 210
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 07/09/2026And perhaps the movie wouldn’t have made so much if it had been released on schedule Still, I think they should have to donate movies to the public domain in order to write them off 100
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 06/09/2026I think that will have the same problem as placeholder music used during movie editing: people get attached to the placeholder and when it’s time for an artist to compose the real thing, the people in charge will direct them to basically copy the placeholder, leading to boring results. 000
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 06/09/2026I never liked Harry Potter but that’s simply because it came out right at the moment my brain decided to start experimenting with hating things just because they were popular. Which is fine but nothing to be proud of. 000
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 06/09/2026In all 50 states if tips don’t get them to at least minimum wage the employer must make up the difference. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tipped_...en.wikipedia.orgTipped wage - Wikipedia 110
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 05/09/2026And even if some people do currently buy more than you can fit on a cargo bike, that’s not a constant. They could shop more frequently and buy less at once. When the store is a pleasant bike ride away it’s not a hassle. 060
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 30/08/2026It’s really an outrage. They shouldn’t be allowed to do that. If they want to write it off they should have to give the movie to the public domain. 100
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Anyway, go see Coyote vs. Acme. Very good and now I’m even more outraged that we almost didn’t get to see it. 000
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Absolutely surreal to see this trailer on the big screen 2 days after I finished watching AHS: Freak Show youtu.be/Dihu6iM__rIyoutu.beHERSHEY | Official Trailer | In Theaters Nov 25 | Alexandra Daddario, Finn Wittrock | AngelYouTube video by Angel 100
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Can we please normalize turning your camera off when using a walking pad on Zoom calls? I am happy you’re getting your steps in at work but your bouncing face is distracting! 000
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Raise your hand if you never share TikTok links because even though you turned off “Disable profile when sharing links”, you don’t trust it 🙋♀️😒 010
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 17/08/2026I find that a little sad, feels like this should be standard! 010
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Makes me think we should build a bunch of cookie cutter mid-rises with Victorian-inspired facades 150
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Especially not when a significant portion of said employees’ compensation is in the form of stock! 060
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 02/08/2026No, I’ve never cared about seeing my name so the faster the better for me. 001
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 24/07/2026I am impressed that, based on the trailers, it appears that Wile E. Coyote does not talk in Coyote vs. Acme. It might seem like the obvious right choice but it’s just the sort of thing I’d expect studios to chicken out on these days and give him some unnecessary celeb voice actor. 050
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 24/07/2026Are there even that many data centers in CA? I’d think they’d want to build them somewhere cheaper 100

Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Totally agree! It’s just a little unsatisfying that I can’t be sure if it actually was shingles or not, and therefore can’t be sure if AI actually helped or not. 110
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 22/07/2026But I would have written it off if it weren’t for the chatbot saying “Go to the doctor TODAY” and the earlier you start shingles treatment the better it works so maybe it did help? 190
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Probably not life changing but it helped me identify possible shingles. Only symptom was sunburn-like pain without the sunburn. Doctor thought it was likely enough to prescribe antivirals. It never progressed so either it wasn’t shingles after all or the antivirals worked really well. 160
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 21/07/2026I would have checked out your newsletter anyway, you don’t need engagement hacking to make me click! 000
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Cuz it makes me feel grumpy that you made me click (even though I am a fan of both of your podcasts & acting) and puts me in the mindset of scanning for the answer to that one question instead of enjoying reading the article. 100
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Could make a sick Loungefly! (Disney/LF if you see this I waive any rights I probably don’t even have to this concept… please just make it!) 050
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Can it navigate open water like that? If nothing else, permanent docking somewhere guests can access would be nice. 110
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Good marketing for the movie, don’t think it’s going to do much for the theater 110
Madam Jumbo @madamjumbo.bsky.social · 19/07/2026This is a good way to get me to click but a bad way to get me to enjoy reading the article & subscribe 100
