![As a society we can restore old fashioned coaching, shadowing, and idea exchange, mentoring/reverse mentoring skilled know-how with youthful creativity. Using compensated mentorship and paid on-the-job training (OJT), I will restore work pride by jobs to careers; enabling all persons to afford chronic needs such as childcare, nutrition and housing, not requiring government subsidies, utilizing Workers' Compensation Insurance as the vehicle. It can even be a pathway to citizenship for immigrants, learn skills while earning OJT building a reliable pipeline of skilled workers, driving the future, benefiting everyone.
It's simple:
1. The mentor gets paid benefits to coach and guide,
2. New workers collaborate with new technology creativity as skills develop OJT, improving both new workers and mentors;
3. Resulting in employers getting new, qualified, skilled employees.
4. Workers' Compensation coverage that every employer is required by law to have, is the platform delivering safety, skills and jobs to careers.

The Percy Solution (www.PercySolution.com) is based on the Percy v. Brennan settlement with the State of New York[1]. Despite the strength and settlement of the Percy case, the case exposes the following truth: the courts alone are ill-equipped to engineer an alternative employment practice (AEP) to transform the workforce to any meaningful extent. To answer the need I present as my platform for Governor an AEP developed over 35 years[2], a tested AEP approach modeled on the US Marine Corps counterinsurgency programs developed for use by the US in South Vietnam 1968 - 1971,to reach the hearts and minds of Vietnamese in restoring and rebuilding infrastructure, while working alongside and training locals[3].
