We've improved "Mix feeds into Following"! Previously, mixed-in posts could overwhelm your timeline and crowd out people you follow. Now, they're spread more evenly throughout your feed for a better balance of content. You can enable this feature in the feed settings.

We’ve made a few changes to Articles. First, Articles now live in their own tab on the main navigation. The articles screen also has a new view for larger screens. We’ve also moved publications on profiles into their own tab.

We’ve also added a subscribe button to article view header and added a button to the menu to view the original article.

Following up on yesterday’s changes, we’ve enhanced the embed card. You can also now follow publications directly from the feed!

When posts are shared with a @standard.site embed, you can now click into the post to read it in Mackinac, or click the publication to see other posts or subscribe!

Now, when you click on publications within profile pages in Mackinac, you’ll be taken to a publication page where you can view all posts and subscribe.

AI preferences are now live in Mackinac!
A screen titled “AI Preferences” displays three sections: Training, Inference, and Synthetic content. Each section offers options to Allow, set No preference, or Deny the use of the user’s data for that purpose, with descriptions explaining each use.

We’ve made it even easier to connect to @ap.brid.gy! You’ll now find a globe icon on your profile page to manage your connection. This handles the setup automatically, so you no longer need to manually follow, unfollow, or block the account. If you run into any issues, let us know!

Trending topics and feed discovery are now live! We’ll be adding more to the search page soon.
A mobile app screen shows the Atmosphere search bar, trending topics like DHS Funding, House Republicans, and Art Archive, and two discover feed cards for trending content and popular posts. A favorites section lists AT Explore with its icon at the bottom of the screen.

We've added some features to make it easier to access profiles you visit often. You can favorite a profile, which will appear when you visit the search page. We've also added a Jump to feature under the user menu to quickly navigate to specific handles. Jump to works across protocols.

Mackinac supports custom verifications via @microcosm.blue. In settings -> verifications, you can set which verifiers you trust. You can verify users in the UI and manage your verification records.
