WIN: We secured a court order temporarily blocking Donald Trump's USPS from restricting vote-by-mail ahead of the election. This victory protects mail voting and lets elections go on as planned while we fight to block this unlawful election interference. Massachusetts will always defend democracy.

Further evidence of cancer-prevention effectiveness of HPV vaccination in males. When I taught high school sex ed, I found mention of "penile cancer" was enough to get the attention of the boys in class. I hope we eventually see better vax rates in boys. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam... #episky

Sending scam texts under the guise of a consumer safety notice is a new low. I actually did have an Amazon product be recalled several years ago, and received proper notice and a refund from Amazon. Clearly that data has since somehow made it to ill-intentioned groups.
Test message from an unknown number claiming to be a safety notice about a recall product from Amazon, but then directs the receiver to a sketchy link with claims of safety information and a refund.

Americans collectively have forgotten that yellow fever and malaria were once endemic in our country. To be fair, it’s not something we’re ever taught in school; I had no idea until I started studying public health! And now, especially w/ climate change, there’s little stopping it from coming back.

The finding that the shingles vax decreased risk of dementia was widely reported last year, but we’ve heard less about similar findings for others (Flu, RSV, TDaP) I imagine we’ll keep seeing this as we study more vaccines, with how much inflammation is averted with a prevented/attenuated disease.
