Kinda gotten over the lost already. The one humorous thing that I can take from this game is with Trot Jr. getting ejected before playing one defensive down, the Trotters are probably the only father/son combo to have done that. On to next week. #GoBirds🦅

Screenshot of one part of Jeremiah Trotter's Wikipedia page: "During the 2005 season opener, about 40 minutes before kickoff between the Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, Trotter and Falcons' cornerback Kevin Mathis got into a fight during pregame warmups. After officials reviewed video to see who instigated the fight, both Trotter and Mathis were ejected before kickoff. Terry Bradshaw said about the incident, "No one's been thrown out of a house that fast since my last divorce". The fight led to an NFL rules change where non-kickers cannot enter a neutral zone between the 45-yard-lines prior to the game."

First of all, it's Za'darius Smith. Second, his mom was dying so he wanted to spend as much time with her as he could. He came back to play only after she passed. You don't have to like Sirianni (I am neutral on him), but to use these two examples to prove the players don't like him is just not it.

I call it a great player who has family issues that should've retired in the off-season. Vince Lombardi wouldn't have convinced Lane to keep playing.

000

Ray @machplane.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

People calling for Sirianni to be fired right now don't remember Lurie's MO with coaches. No matter how bad it got (Kotite, Rhodes, Andy and Doug), he waited until the end of the season. The only time he fired a coach in-season was with Chip because there was a player revolt.

Amen to the pontiff from this atheist

Screenshot of a tweet by the account of Pope Leo XIV (@Pontifex): "Intelligence must draw on memory. The mind must not simply compile data — as an algorithm now does more quickly than we can — but recall lived experiences, which contain depths of meaning that only the human soul can recognize, and connect more deeply with the goodness of these experiences. Everything that is good begins “with the Spirit” and thus possesses a breath, a dynamism and a sense of communion that, once experienced, are engraved upon the heart."

It still amazes me how many "smart" men on social media continue to argue with women who are super knowledgeable about the topic of conversation, and no matter how many times they get dunked on they continue to insist that they are right. I am envious of their self-confidence.

Eagles won annoyingly (a lot of things to work on offensively). Cowboys lost in boneheaded ways (3 straight passes to RB in the flat with no one covering and then tauting that cost them an extra point!). Agreat day for Eagles fans! #GoBirds 🦅🦅

Wrote about what I remember about this day 25 years ago but It will most likely stay in drafts and not see the light of day. So many things about what I remember was less about the catastrophic thing that happened but more about how different our daily lives were compared to now.

And while I am on this topic. Dr. Beverly Archer (Gates McFadden) had a cameo as Jack Ryan's wife Caroline in the same film too.

The actor who portrayed Professor Moriarty (Daniel Davis) who temporarily took control of the Enterprise looks very familiar to me so I looked up his filmography. It turns out he played captain of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise in The Hunt For Red October. What are the odds.

I will confess that I am only a casual Star Trek TNG fan (only seen some rerun episodes and the movies over the years) so I decided to watch the series from the beginning. I just finished S2E3 where Data played Sherlock Holmes in the Holodeck with Geordi playing Watson.

Hamstring tight as a snare drum after one set of squats. Younger me would've tried to push through the workout and possibly hurt myself but when you are old like me you know better. The lesson here for the young ones is don't get old.

Ro Khanna for sure. Everybody wants AOC and she's trending that way. Keep an eye out for Chris Van Hollen. Newsom will certainly dip his toes in. Harris will likely try again. Mayor Pete also. An out of left field person that I want to see run is Summer Lee but unseating Fetterman is more likely.
