For now I just open local mail order. But maybe someday I'll sell(?) the digital version somewhere. Mainly I want to post and show all my artwork. I want to talk about them with other Quell fans too~

I just want to post this here as a conclusion of my random struggle post about making art for this book. Running towards the goal in the last couple of month was hard yet so precious. It's like years of journey finally reach a finish line.

I actually plan this book before the pandemic... man, making your own fanbook is hard because you make your own rules. But also it is fun because I can't wait to complete the rest of the illustration and see it printed aaaaaaaaa

and yeah, I'm going to try to be more playfull. Life is hard enough and I don't think I've made stuff that genuinely made myself happy recently. it's always been overthinking

Heather ♠️🦤 @ Kazokuberu Hell @macaroonheather.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

the good news is I make so progress for my personal Quell fanbook. Maybe I'll made it for CF in november and release a digital version just so people can read them. I mean It's been a long time since I made fanbook by my own

My biggest pet peeve is that there's a ton of scam websites that are "Free QR Code Generator"s then the QR code stops working after a few days and then redirects you to ask you to PAY to re-activate it. I made a page on website for making ACTUALLY FREE QR Codes. Enjoy. konig.games/QRCodes/ #QRCodes

i made this html+css template as an alternative to linktree for people who want to ditch it. you can host it for free on neocities! and it's yours forever :) if for any reason neocities falls in the future, you can easily grab the files and host them somewhere else.

IMPORTANT: For any artists/writers/etc etc, using Linktree to point people to their work, from 5 July, they'll be feeding all imagery you use on your landing page into DALL-E by OpenAI. I deleted my account this morning.

yikes :(

Instagram post from Loryn Brantz. Text reads,

I am horrified and disgusted by BuzzFeed taking my character, The Good Advice Cupcake, and giving it to an Al platform. My time at BuzzFeed was marked by continually being taken advantage of and lied to. They repeatedly assured me in good faith that they would never do anything with Cuppy without my input, yet offered me no legal options, insisting that I would never need them. The news that this character, who is based on my own personality and whom I created as a microphone to spread love and positivity, has been taken and turned into a soulless Al puppet feels like having my intestines pulled out of my body.
Somebody leaked the news to me early on that there were talks happening, and I pleaded with the CEO Jonah Peretti directly not to do it. Instead, he tried to talk me into signing an NDA. Obviously, I did not.
This is an assault on artists everywhere.
I encourage you to boycott BuzzFeed and any Al-produced or adjacent animation.

Nothing is more depressing than watching young artists give other young artists advice like “only use one colour palette in everything you do to have a more recognizable brand” and “draw everything with a target audience in mind”

I just spend 5 hours printing lino today and my back hurts 🫠 I print lino on the floor because there's no table space, also when I vigorously imprint the paper, I'm scared I'll break my table.

It's hard living with your abuser. My only wish for this year is having enough income to get out of this house, but... no more working random company job for it. I would not sacrifice my fulfillment for my abuser.

"you need to learn how to use gAI or you'll get left behind!" counterpoint! the absolute fastest way to render yourself unemployable is to build your skillset around a tool that does your thinking for you, that everyone has access to, and that one company can change or take away at any time

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

We tend to think of successes as these big moments. They aren’t. Success is fighting through the inertia and putting in the work every day. Success is showing up. Celebrate that and you will be happier.
