Looking at how my quilt flopped over last night and it reminds me of massive fingers rising from the depths. Or at least until I finish sewing those panels together. 😋 Hoping to finish adding the rest of panels I have thus far today and stitch them closed into a solid border. We shall see.

I’ve started attaching the quilt border, so I can estimate just how many more hexie chunks I need. At least all this black on black stitching is easier than that time I hand stitched black button holes on a black wool coat. Now that project definitely made me feel like I was going to go blind. 😵‍💫

Finished basting 140 hexies over the last two days. Now if only I could stitch them together just as fast. 😆 Not sure if I want to keep basting or go ahead and start sewing these up. I do have a stack of fabric squares cut already though. So maybe I’ll at least finish basting those up first. Hmm..🤔

I had an epiphany today and built the leopard geckos this roughly 6x3’ exercise space. Created out of the 3 janky poster frames I found a few weeks ago. I want to make a solid fabric floor, but for now towels have to do. It’s not fancy in any way, but it’s fantastically functional and escape proof.

I had the bright idea to sew some patches onto my jacket by hand. I can’t find my good thimble for the life of me. It’s been a couple hours, and now I have sore fingers and only 3/4 of one patch sewn on. Why must patches be so thick?! So much for bright ideas. 🫠
