Yeah... not exactly a winning quote from JCO. She's been writing since 1963, and apparently with headier fiction than Romance. So she's probably pretty down on romance of any sort. She's above any kind of romance or pulp fiction, I gather.

Reminds me of when Kathryn Hinds and I went to a writing event down in Macon and an author did this brilliant essay using this song. One of those moments in my life I wish I had a recording of, but don't need, and this song always reminds me of it, and time with my dear friend.

And we thought this was intense... Then opening we sold out of all those books in two hours! Author Ben Meeks of Sidestreet Bookmarket for Matt Dinniman with the help of authors Silas Rams and Alfred Muller and myself. Dragon Con 2026 was great! There were some CRAZY moments, but well worth it!
