Applies to golden kamuy too...

Just a few episodes in but Jaadugar is goooooood Lowkey I enjoy historical settings a lot because that means characters will die left and right and nobody knows what therapy is

What is the evil witch's motive though. I feel like they never established it? This is one of those poetic type of anime that operate on its own logic and for me it's usually a coin toss whether it totally flies over my head. Fingers crossed thoughhhh

10 episodes in I've been enjoying Sayonara Lara so far! I really appreciate stuff that's an even mix of grounded and fantastical details, they put such a crazy amount of care into depicting Shiga as a location (I'd like to visit it sometime)

I was worried if my comic is perhaps too self indulgent, but then I remembered the words of Björk and now I need to make it even more self indulgent 🥰

Wondered about the emergency water bottle in my car since it might freeze and break during winter. My next thought was that it would be handy to store a sort of dry water in the car. They should invent that

Why is my taste always two or three levels more advanced than any of the stuff I'm able to draw. Can't it be reversed. Couldn't I just blow my own mind outta nowhere for once

Please share your feedback on how genAI destroys the livelihoods of artists on the official EU website. You can do so even if you're not an EU citizen. We have to be loud so the change will come, and practice shoes that voicing hatred towards genAI works ec.europa.eu/info/law/bet...

Found Doraemon in the library! It's pretty fun, reminds me a lot of the Donald Duck comics I read as a kid. I always assumed Nobita was an ordinary kid but he's often a lazy, greedy little loser instead lol

Disclaimer: what's "twice as much" for me is still less than the output of most people who draw for a living. I'm not in great shape but I think I'm getting better...

Fasted for a day and my focus was immediately so much better I drew almost twice as much as usual and solved a plothole in a script while I was at it. What the hell lol. I love food why does it have to hold me back

020

Maaria @maariala.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Japanese is funny because it's not enough that you learn a word. You also need to know the same word in Chinese since that's what they use in certain contexts so right off the bat your vocab will be 2x that of other languages. And don't get me started on kanji that have like 20 different readings

Recently watched Gladiator for the first time. I had only seen clips of it before and assumed it was some kinda deeply layered, prestigious historical film Nah it's just anime. It's battle shonen. Three hours of a guy aurafarming. Every man and woman he meets comes into their pants from awe
