I like how this show makes fun of the exact type of nutcase fans that it's also attracting

Dialogue from knights of guinevere "Hey, ain't Gwendroids supposed to be, you know, uh, fuller?"

Found Doraemon in the library! It's pretty fun, reminds me a lot of the Donald Duck comics I read as a kid. I always assumed Nobita was an ordinary kid but he's often a lazy, greedy little loser instead lol

Favorite lore of the Lovelylocks kingdom that the titular Lady watches over: trees grow hair. If you dig a tunnel, hair will grow from the ceiling. Apparently the very soil of this realm is saturated with Lady's essence. I'm assuming her body is like a mushroom sprouting from a fungal network

Anyone else love villains? Like not straight evil (illegal) but complex, obviously I'm never excusing her repeated attempts to take over the lovelylocks kingdom every episode I just find her toxicity compelling, in the finale they even left it ambiguous if she'll ever redeem herself

I found Dragon's Heaven (1988) on youtube. It's like a little moebius ripoff mecha short film??? Really nice drawings though... it's pretty cute honestly

Finished vol. 1 💎 Light fun stuff 💎 Toriyama's drawings are mega cute and expressive! 💎 I love his little vehicle designs too 💩 Poor Bulma... half the gags are about someone seeing her body or panties. This did not age too well lol (at least goku is a good boy)

There was this one scene in the manga that managed to lit up my shriveled little brain... the type of shit I hoped to see from someone in Tetsuo's position? Too bad there wasn't much of it in the end. He mostly just flies around destroying stuff

What do you mean you'll introduce a stone cold badass like CHIYOKO who fights... idk, twice, and then goes to sit in a corner? Could you spend one or two pages telling us where she came from or how she got so tough? There's like 400 pages dedicated to collapsing skyscrapers come on man

I also think about this with Paru Itagaki. Like she sure inherited some gene from her dad that makes you draw really wacky lines, amazing how that kinda thing plays out

Read the 2016 Lucky Luke by Matthieu Bonhomme, beautifully drawn but I especially dig this confidence with colors. Usually you'd use color palettes to help define each character but if the drawings themselves are strong enough you can do just whatever. Taking notes...

I learned a lot painting the wizard piece. ALWAYS study references if you want to hit a specific vibe, you cannot trust your naïve little brain to just improvise shit

Found some old gamedev stuff from my folders (trine 4), these assets would scale so tiny in the game I doubt you could make out most of the details but I was allowed to take my time with them anyway. Nowadays I guess a lot of devs just use AI slop instead. We didn't know how good we had it...

James Cameron's defining talent is making popcorn blockbusters for dumb people. But it takes a smart guy to pull that off since the idea is to communicate story and themes with a polished efficiency that's easy for most people to enjoy. Hence that guy will just print money every time

Top 5 highest grossing movies, 3 of which are directed by Cameron

It's this style of art turned into a movie with the most expensive cutting edge technology available. Normies will appreciate it just fine but if you're a cultured person with good taste you'll probably reject it outright. (as for me I'm a slut for good vfx so I gobble it up regardless)
