But it receives more than it pays. NJ is also very populous but gets less than it pays. That’s the point I was making. And few red or blue states are equitable in how they redistribute the money they get.

Ok, you really have to look at how much each state pays and receives. Cali, for example pays some of the highest to the fed but also receives more than most. In fact, it receives the most funding overall. Other states receive less than what they put out.

It’s the next season that people are hating on. The show gave them a series finale that wrapped up all the stories in a nice happy bow. Now for purely monetary reasons, Apple TV is undoing it all. That’s the face punch.

While I’m not sure how they’re going to bring him back after that awesome finale, I will watch the fourth season. I went into the first episode of the first season thinking that this was going to be just a stupid show with a lot of tired old jokes. I was so wrong and so happy about being wrong.

Dr Doom aside, the villain story of most Marvel baddies is at least somewhat sympathetic. Dr Doom is just an ass with mommy issues. It’s not uncommon to want to see multifaceted characters even if they’re evil. Even Darth Vader had a brief redemption arc.

They were always going to screw up the animated characters. It’s become their trademark in these live action adaptations. Just as it’s been their trademark to screw up the casting. Lilo and Nani in the cartoon had some heft to them. Their live actors have more idealized bodies.

It’s the merch. Before, you had movie driven merch. Btf and raiders glasses ar McDonald’s. T-shirts and what coming after the movie opened. Etc. now, even with the “special” popcorn buckets, it’s seems now all we’re getting is merch driven movies.

It’s a great movie. Not sure it needs a true sequel but maybe an adjacent movie. Same stars but different characters.
