A couple of classics today, including a 1984 BSA Super Meteor and a not the best named Crosman ‘Rat Catcher”. Things have moved on greatly and the C9O2/PCP giuns are effortless to load. The mid powered BSA was fatiguing.

It appeared in my FB timeline. I think it’s a resolution thing.

At least a month off, and honestly help required! Looks quite debilitating!

Oooh, you can now run: the light, an iron, a heater from the light pendant!

Today is my 3rd Stomaversary. Happy birthday Ralph! 🎈🎉🎂🎁🍫🎁🎂🎉🎈

Seems to be a plague of these appearing.

Phil - M0KPH @m0kph.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Just remembered, I had my flu jab last Friday. Explains a lot!

Fingers up the nose instead of a handle is certainly a feature!

A neighbour once called the Council on us for burning garden rubbish. I did check first that no washing was out. I knew the person who came, though I had to firmly say ”bugger off”, particularly as the leaflet they gave me clearly stated burning garden rubbish was permitted!

I used to use Vihtavuori, both N110 and N320, but only for pistol loads.

.458 Winchester Magnum was my favourite, followed by .600 Nitro Express. Not sure why. If I had to choose for practicality, semi auto would be 5.56mm, and bolt action would be 30-06. Got everything covered with those two.

They are quite low to the ground now, and are they type that won’t regrow. Just need a cheapish way to “skim” them down.

210

Well bollocks. Just thought I’d make use of the weather and grind away at some of the tree stumps. Angle grinder has just burnt itself out. Only a cheap 4 1/2” Clarke, but obviously no overload or thermal protection. Looks like a change in tact is needed.

Support from other Ostomates is essential.

On a positive, you won’t forget where you put it!

Today is Stoma Awareness Day. Part of the healing/acceptance process is sharing a story. This can often put you outside your comfort zone, but it does help. This is the picture I submitted. I had the security attack dog with me in case I got mobbed by fans! Be the light that people need!

Definitely held against it’s will!

….and food. They’d eat you without hesitation!

The next time you go camping and realise where that missing piece went!

What time is the Rochdale event?

000

I’ve done this before now:-

They were £300 ish. I got it for £150 👍😃👍

Yes. I got it cheap. The original owner attached it to a 3 brick wide part of the house (between bedroom & bathroom windows). He went out in a storm to see the wall moving, so he promptly took it down.

It is very good. Tunes on all bands, but poor receive on 30m and 18m I use the random wire for those, along with 80m and top band. Very noise free on receive.

Found some pics looking through my vast collection! #AerialPhotographerOfTheYear

This is it now, totally blends in from my viewpoint. Not sure what it’s like from the neighbours angle though! 🤓

131

I’ve camouflaged my random wire pole, and she’s not mentioned that one! It looked a bit more obvious after the tree was removed, so I lowered it another metre.

Mrs KPH said my V dipole, at a little over 5m off the ground was “unsightly”

Alas, that’s a very small plus. We are on over £4,000 in council tax and energy alone. Compared to other countries, this is appalling.

000

Just had energy options for year - flexible is estimated at £1,881; and fixed is estimated at £2,013 Absolutely extortionat.

We swap cars every 12 to 15 years or so. We don’t go on expensive holidays (not been away for 9 years due to the doggy). Mortgage was £250 month, so I paid £500. Our house was £50,500 I’m 1996. I couldn’t have afforded it since mid 2000’s had bought then.

Well done, it’s a nice feeling.

Press Reader is a good one. However, our library doesn’t support this. As such, I followed advice and joined Bedfordshire Library as a ”digital” member. I put my correct address in and got a membership number straight back. Been using it for years: OW, Viz, Anateur Photographer, Beano, etc.

Solar panel installed to rear camera. Not an offical Ring one, but this was more than half price. Camera has detected it and is charging. Battery was on 90% when installed. Usually lasts around 3 months stand alone.

Swindon dog teams usually need at least 9 due to the terrain.
