My beetle emerged from her pupation about 3 weeks ago, but she burrowed into the soil away from the sides of the tank, so now I can't see her. Now she's in her dormancy period and it's TORTURE. I just gotta hope they haven't died and wait for warmer days

My strange insectoid son is definitely getting bigger, but I can't tell if they're close to pupating or not. I bought them and 3rd instar a couple weeks ago, and rainbow stags take about seven months from egg to pupa, so it must be close, right? #beetles #entomology
