Direct donations to those individual artists + Utilizing a YouTube/Bandcamp downloader is likely how I'll proceed from here. Because I use YouTube Music, I'm able to upload my own mp3s to listen on any device I'm logged in on. No risk of supporting ai music through streaming revenue that way.

As a dad myself, I understand the desire to preserve the Snuggle Bunch project for what it means to you as a father. I think the best course of action here is to completely remove all GenAI releases and recreate them using an entirely handmade process. Any amount of GenAI usage is harmful to artists

Secondly, there are no real-world guns in Fortnite, they're fictional cartoon guns. There is no AR-15 in Fortnite. Implying there is just screams "video games cause school shootings raaahh". It's ignorant and annoying. It's fine if Fortnite isn't your thing, but don't ruin this for the rest of us.

Look, no hate to the author, but this is such a non-issue it actually bugs me. Yeah, Sora can use a gun. Everyone can in battle royale. If it makes you feel any better, everyone is technically a hologram and they derezz when health reaches zero. They don't bleed out and die clutching their wounds.

So a ton of my favorite video game music covers are being taken down off YouTube, and because of the AI allegations, it feels morally wrong to give Cutman, an artist I admired and aspired to one day work with, my condolences, let alone my financial support. The whole situation is just heartbreaking.

the guy in charge of it all, DJ Cutman, recently released a track he collaborated on which features blatant AI-generated album art. I don't know if there's hard evidence for this next point, but people are saying he's been generating his music with Suno AI as well.

So one of the apps I can't install with my new privacy-focused OS is my bank app, which wouldn't be a deal breaker, but I can't even use the website for it without authenticating with the app. So I'm completely locked out without it. Guess I'm reinstalling stock android.

well i decided to practice drawing after a lovely artist friend gave me some encouragement, so here's a squishy little minecraft pig i keep on my desk. he was four dollars at a local con and he makes me smile :)

GrapheneOS is pretty cool ngl. minor issues here & there, due to Google being declawed and put in a little corner where it has nearly no control over my phone, so there's a couple apps i can't install (like.. Subway?? lol no clue why) but otherwise it's normal android but with extra privacy controls

For context, my YT Premium from my dad's family plan was disabled since we don't live in the same place, so I tried to start my own. My card was charged for the plan, but i got that error when trying to create a new group. So I contacted Google to try and skip the 12-month wait, and they told me no.

I've actually really enjoyed spending the evening installing extensions and hacks to make the free version of YouTube even more enjoyable than what Premium offered me, tbh. AI sucks but if someone is going to attack the PR accounts of random companies for associating with AI, they should be aware that this website, along with most of the web, is not some AI-free safe haven. We're all contributing to this.
