I keep seeing news stories saying one measles patient can infect as many as 18 people. This is a misunderstanding of the R0 value. 18 is the *average* number of secondary cases infected by a person w/ measles, not the maximum. A single super-spreader can infect far more than 18 people. #episky 🧪

The guy spend a chunk of his childhood in an internment camp because our government thought he might be dangerous because he was of Japanese descent. He was also gay when you were forced to hide it. It’s been much worse for a lot of people in our history. George knows what he’s talking about.
