Earlier this summer, students/staff from our Atmospheric Sciences program took part in SUNY Oswego's Storm Forecasting and Observation Program. The group spent three weeks forecasting severe weather, launching weather balloons, collecting atmospheric data, and chasing storms across five states.

The Lyndon crew is having a blast on their storm chasing trip so far! They saw a funnel cloud (photo by Ethan Pierce) on their first day near the CO/NM border. They also have seen multiple supercells, a wall cloud, shelf clouds, mammatus, golf ball hail, and incredible lightning! #stormchasing 🌪️⛈️🧊⚡️

The science is clear. The stakes are real. AGU condemns the repeal of the EPA Endangerment Finding — a decision that rejects the overwhelming evidence and undermines climate accountability. We will continue to defend science and advocate for evidence-based policy. buff.ly/wX1BQ2t

AMS is deeply concerned by the repeal of EPA’s 2009 Endangerment Finding, which concluded greenhouse gas emissions harm health and well-being. The science remains clear: human-caused climate change is already causing harmful impacts. Read the full statement: bit.ly/4tBwz9w
