The Trump administration fired Librarian of Congress Dr. Carla D. Hayden as part of their sweeping book ban efforts. One of the titles removed? Freckleface Strawberry, a children’s book about self-acceptance. Seriously, who gets offended by that?

It's also terrifying for LGBTQ+ and other marginalized folks who are often excluded from trad publishing & are likely to see that exclusion worsen due to fascism So please, please support indie books! Many of us sell them on Kobo, Smashwords, Itch, and other non-Amazon marketplaces! 3/3

I consider myself a life in progress. I’m a storyteller, author, poet, artist, and listener. One of my greatest joys is listening for stories all around me, stories people hold, stories rocks and tree

How different would the world be if instead of “if it bleeds it leads” the driving force of media coverage was “if it feeds it leads.” What if that had been the focus all along, sharing stories that feed and inspire? Not giving in to the forces that seek to divide through fear and othering.
