Today, I’m flying to Australia, via Singapore, on a work trip. I return to the UK on the 10th November. Going to be a lonely one, but I have cameras!

Went to the Trafford Centre in Manchester at the weekend. The entire Classics-inspired design of the place is strangely jarring for a shopping centre!

Wide shot of the interior of the most recent addition to the Trafford Centre, the Palazzo. Featuring glass window ceiling, many Roman/Ancient Greek pillars in a red motif, stone statues, the tops of palm trees.

A circular painted ceiling in the centre of the main Trafford Centre shopping area. Features a glass dome protruding above, variously detailed and ornate painted depictions of Classical-inspired scenes, and more pillars in a red motif.

A water fountain in the centre of the Trafford Centre, featuring six bronze dolphins ejecting water into the middle of the pool. The water is frothy.

A white stone statue next to red pillars in the Palazzo. He is dressed in Roman-style armour, carrying a robe around his midsection, and barefoot. A naked cherub points up beside his right leg.

The last three or so weeks have been busy. I was ill, day job busy, nothing exciting there. My video edit queue hasn’t really got any smaller, largely due to lack of time. This weekend, I’m away in Manchester, but hopefully I’ll make some progress on music in Logic Pro for those video montages.

I bought two video lights a few weeks ago, in preparation for Scotiacon. Same make and model, but I’m having to return them today as the software is incompatible with both lights. Why the manufacturer didn’t change the product code or say one of them was a “new version” makes no sense.

Some photos from my recent trip to Thailand. Bangkok night skyline, Doi Inthanon views, and the Mae Klong river at Amphawa.

Bangkok night sky, with skyscrapers and a market illuminating the water of the Chao Phraya River.

Several people walk past a wooden fence as they begin to descend Doi Inthanon, with views looking above the clouds.

A view of Wachirathan Waterfall, with cascading water flowing down a very green and large rock face, lush green trees and bushes are all around. Water sprays up onto the camera lens.

A mid-afternoon photo taken from a footbridge, over a very calm Mae Klong river, at the Amphawa Floating Market. Docked boats, tall pillars and lighting infrastructure hang overhead. Awnings of different colours give shade to shops and restaurants underneath. Steps descend into the river.
