Hugely disappointed in Peter Serafinowicz. As if signing up for Harry Potter blood money wasn't bad enough, he's now resorted to touring a show where he is "deep faked" into famous people living or dead. Without their consent, obviously. I was a fan for 25+ years, bht where did his morals go?

Sometimes things become unavoidable, and not always for the better. Track 18 of Dogface Words is: I Don't Really Want to Talk About Them This concludes Side A of the collection. Side B will follow after a much needed break. #poetryofbluesky #poemoftheday #queerartist #political #neurodivergent

I am so torn on this. Cos, yes, he was discriminated against... for having a discriminatory view based on nothing but a misinterpretation of his own religion. Christianity is not homophobic - people who don't understand Christianity are. Masking bigotry as belief is causing damage far and wide.

I was not expecting a new Placebo single to appear out of nowhere today and hit me like a ton of bricks. They've historically released music in such a manner each album feels like a time capsule of a particular time in my life. Now this song sums up where I'm at, mentally lately.

This is wild when I stop and think about it, as someone who spent so many years with the Boosh at the centre of my universe... quite how much more Bake Off and Buzzcocks that Noel Fielding has now made compared to scripted comedy work. It's no wonder so many now don't know him as the Boosh guy...

Reviving these... some bonus 'early years' Queen single covers I made a few years ago for tracks that probably should have been A-sides but weren't. #7 is Sheer Heart Attack btw (NOTW era singles didn't have titles on the front cover). All would have enhanced Greatest Hits sweep of 1973-1980.

Sooooo Odeon snuck up the Doctor Who cinema tickets last night. When I checked to see if they'd announced where they were already on sale and one person had bought a singular seat off to the side. Resisted the urge to book right next door to them. 😂 See some of you at the Great Northern MCR?

I originally uploaded this to my old (now locked out of) YouTube account 17 years ago. On what would have been Jim Henson's 90th birthday, it felt appropriate to bring it here, too. The moment The Muppets learnt he was gone. Just phenomenal television. Heartfelt and full of love, just like Jim.

The late, great, Jim Henson would have been 90 today. He gave the world so much. And, alongside Terry Jones and Brian Froud, he gave me a nickname that stuck and became my real name. Happy birthday, Jim. The world is a sorrier place without you, but the love you poured into it lives on.

Very happy to add a limited edition cassette version of The Best Punk Album Of All Time to my collection of X Ray Spex stuff. Poly Styrene (and Art-I-Ficial) is referenced in my poetry collection Dogface Words, and really is a huge inspiration on my art and my life. Long may she reign.

One of my big life regrets is not getting to see Tim Curry in Spamalot when he was in the West End. I didn't get to London for the first time until 10 months after his run and missing that was part of what drove young me to start going down there to see the things that never came up north.

Just revisited The X Files early classic Beyond The Sea. The actual kidnap plot bits are starting to date badly, but everything else is fire. Brad Dourif and Gillian Anderson bounce superbly off one another. David Duchovny wisely dials back to let them shine, as does Mark Snow's barely there score.

I think it's absolutely mad that today there's a *national news story* about 400 oil platform workers losing their jobs, and the government being blamed. 25% of the UK TV industry lost their jobs in the last 4 years and we never hear a peep about it! Some jobs are 'real jobs' I guess.

Really getting frustrated with how little I post on Bluesky or Instagram gets seen by anybody, let alone interacted with. It's like the Internet is an adult version of the school playground and folks have decided I smell and they don't wanna play with me. 🫪

A few close friends have had a preview of the next poem in Dogface Words, and expressed caution to me about its content. As such, I felt like a disclaimer would be a wise choice ahead of "publication".

Another joyous night at @gallycab.bsky.social. All the best bits would be spoilers so you'll just have to go and see them. Some things will haunt my dreams. 😂 Also, nice of UNIT to double bank the night with a big bash upstairs. I had no idea Ms Jones and Dr Shaw were that close. 😉

Always a pleasure to see Lily & Lewis - aka The Meffs. Two of the nicest, most genuine people not just in punk rock, but in music full stop. Chuffed to see them on the up and getting lots of attention. Go buy their new record!
