really love seeing more of Garak in S2 of DS9. especially in s02e22 "The Wire". good fucking television.

beginning to understand why that one lady wanted to fuck Odo so badly.

the cooler weather was nice while it lasted. it is again 88 degrees F outside

human biology is so cool. it rules that you can just take different hormones consistently and your body just goes "okay sure". after a few years of hormones I am in fact Biologically Female.

[uspol] cannot wait until election season is over. I am making it worse by seeking out bad takes because i hate myself. but also they're everpresent and growing and will only keep growing until we're done with this.

[llm complaining] cars really are the perfect comparison point for LLMs, aren't they? down to the fact that people in cars are often just really awful to other drivers or people they're trying to share society with. "but cars are useful—" the comparison is more about what they do to society […]

I'm talking about AI of course but this is barely even a problem that AI has made worse. "Sure, I'll think about the problems, but it's just an app, what harm could it do" says a programmer under 50 with sciatica, myopia, diplopia, hypertension, repetitive stress injuries in their neck and […]

I'm exhausted, most of all, by talking to programmers who have an absolutely unshakeable ideological commitment to the idea that none of our tools could possibly hurt us, that programming is an easy job with no dangers, simply because it involves a lot of sitting down and thinking quietly, that […]

I love doing Balatro Crimes not as funny as doing it with blueprint/brainstorm. but still pretty good.

"I mean it's gonna look like beef birria down there." - november kelly, 2026, on upcoming bottom surgery. god I missed her. glad she's back www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mzaavmtT9M

jadzia beating the pants off a bunch of Ferengi at their own game is a great recurring bit.

first win for Merry Andy, everyone say congrats to Merry Andy.

fuck, I've heard Choosing Texas now

listen sometimes you have to vent the venom in a post

[cw: pointing and laughing at bsky staff] the people running bsky are just verifiably Gone, it's wild.

(DS9 s02e15) ew anprim planet. make it go away.

ooooh I think this is a O'Brien Goes To Hell episode

it rules that we (societal We) never actually dealt with the problem of "IoT devices are hilariously insecure, and in fact a botnet in waiting for whoever wants them", and now those botnets are just background radiation on the internet.

new record for golden ticket! also this is the first win I've had with riff-raff. nice to carry it through

hearing so much subspace stuff in star trek watching. holodecks must be the federation's answer to a top shortage in the fleet.

god, flush scaling is dogshit. flushes work better with my build, so I'm trying to force it through. but: ugh. (the two +mult cards are ofc gonna change, but I need to figure out WHAT to change them to)

watching The Lighthouse. sailors can be as superstitious as they like, imo. just generally.

building anarchism via increasingly larger polycules

if newsom was any good he'd have gotten some grift out of paramount/cbs for the average Californian. I should be able to get some free blu-rays of one of their properties in exchange for being a citizen here.

odo's getting quark's ass for selling fake Ferengi slices.

upgraded pants from blue to gold chip, and this is the first win I've EVER had with throwback. (I don't dislike throwback, it's just tricky to use well without shooting yourself in the foot.) remaining: black deck -> anaglyph deck -> erratic deck

one of these kinds of episodes, huh? it's fine I guess I just have seen enough of this trope in media, and also enough eye-rolling Posting about "men are really the emotional ones if you think about it".

can't believe quark's fucking dead
