I’m adding to the Jimothy fan art hahah. I don’t know how they’d turn him into a children’s book, he’s not as marketable as Punch looks wise but he’s definitely relatable in his own freaky way. #jimothy #illustration #charactersdesign

Happy #kidlitartpostcard day! Sharing a piece that was inspired by a San Francisco city walk and a very cute dog. I’m Jennifer, an illustrator looking for picture book work! I like drawing heartfelt scenes, nature, and funny animals. #kidlitillustration #kidlitart #picturebookillustration

A girl holding a stack of lost dog posters opens the gate to her front yard only to find her lost dog has been sitting on the front steps for who knows how long.

Looking back this past year has been a lot of learning and meeting a lot of great new people. I’m slowly making my way and I’m so glad I decided to bring art back seriously into my life 3 years ago 😊 (5/x)

Next year I hope to… 💌 Sell my cards to even more stores/people and get onto Faire 🌱 Apply to more agents/art directors with my updated portfolio ✏️ Finish my story/dummy? 🎨 Keep making new art for my portfolio ⛰️ Keep sketching outside (it kind of died near the end of the year) (4/x)

🍎 Joined a 3 month long mentorship and made a few more portfolio pieces including one for my own story 💡Applied to a bunch of agents and got a bunch of rejections lol but I’m happy to have gotten to a point where I could confidently submit my work 📚 Got more involved with my local SCBWI branch (3/x)
