Despite costing £20 more, the artwork on most steelbooks is considerably worse the regular film poster.

Greece photo dump. Been a relaxing 10 days. Not too busy, not unbearably hot. #Fujifilm

Somewhere in the history of British tourism there must have been a pivotal moment when a Mediterranean shopkeeper thought, “these are the kind of people that might buy a penis-shaped bottle opener or a vulgar sign.”

Perfect view last night for dinner. A solo trip to the other side of the island and a couple of hours of enjoying some great food with some great company: me.

Such a fun night taking my nephew to his first gig. Not something I’d ever normally listen to, but #TheHu were brilliant. The kind of music that inspires you to throw on Genghis Khan cosplay and assemble an intimidating army…

One day I will own a 1988 pressing of the Geinoh Yamashirogumi soundtrack for #Akira (Symphonic Suite Akira). Until then, I will spend the evening enjoying this re-release of the 200+ Japanese collective’s ‘Ecophony Rinne’, which led Katsuhiro Otomo commissioning them to create his film’s score.

Just finished watching #LindaLindaLinda. Loved it.

Amazing. I’ve got a few older things I’ll be keeping which I k ow are worth a fair bit. Got a silly amount of newer stuff and even some of these are going for £50-£100 after a quick look on eBay.

Not that I want to sound like a conspiracy theorist or anything….but: 1) recent comment by an MP about people needing to stock up on certain supplies 2) this article’s subtle hint of potential conscription 😅 (tactic: government article > see public’s reaction > create contingency plan) 👀

New camera ordered. Time to take the first step towards ticking off a bucket-list goal of making a short film. Which means this little beauty is for sale. #Fujifilm

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched A solid run. Japanese films currently my most watched so far this year. Might actually beat American films by year end for the first time since tracking.

Greet night on Friday. Pat Flynn of Fiddlehad with the energy of a 21 year old, Nothing also being a support highlight (one of those bands that you appreciate even more after seeing live).

I’d love to see a modern, big-budget film about their national hero, Skanderbeg. A legendary (but barely unknown in Western European education) military strategist who united Albania and held back the Ottoman Empire for over two decades against incredible odds. Worth reading about.

This is a cool bit of detail about Ludwig Göransson’s soundtrack for The Odyssey. Albania’s rich history and culture isn’t often in mainstream awareness, not is it well documented in English, so this is nice to see.

It's always a strange feeling when someone you never knew personally passes away, yet they were such a big part of your childhood memories. Rest in peace, Sam Neill.

I own some great Hot Toys, but this may be the best 1/6th scale figure I own. Insane attention to detail & volume of accessories. #Mondo have done an amazing job with this. I love their version which takes inspiration from lots of different variations of Turtles media from the past & present. 🐢
