One day I will own a 1988 pressing of the Geinoh Yamashirogumi soundtrack for #Akira (Symphonic Suite Akira). Until then, I will spend the evening enjoying this re-release of the 200+ Japanese collective’s ‘Ecophony Rinne’, which led Katsuhiro Otomo commissioning them to create his film’s score.

The debate around whether singers/bands/actors/artists should voice their political opinions is a non-starter. They have every right to, and should if they feel the need to. The ‘debate’ is a way to encourage people to think otherwise, by those with opposing views to said opinions.

You can’t beat older films: Iimmersive and charming real sets, colours that pop, proper lighting (nobody seems to be able to properly light anymore). No stupid looking CGI and no dull digital colour grading.
