A 🧵on radical trust. 1/6 It can be hard to feel hopeful when life is tough. In challenging and uncertain times we tend to tense up & close in on ourselves. We find it hard to be hopeful, trustful or aware of our blessings. We look for ways of maintaining the status quo, and keeping ourselves safe.

My “rational” brain had a lesson today during the homily… Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven. —Matthew 18:22 RSV-SB In my mind this was 490 times 😉 But what if this a number that has 70 times the “seven”?

Another very special moment from this season in Greenland… Discovering this beautiful iceberg and its amazing green underwater base in the middle of some very thick fog was surely one of the highlights of this summer for me… #photography #nature #redsails #adventure #art 🌿
A beautifully shaped iceberg with a large green underwater base, our red sails boat standing between 2 parts of the iceberg, the whole scene wrapped into thick fog with just enough light entering. Photography, no ai.

The horror of the world we live in … and I’m ashamed I complain often for completely irrelevant things / God forgive my blindness… (Description in ALT text)
In Sudan, Malik Tahir carries his 16-year-old daughter, Aisha, whose weight had fallen to just 21kg. Aisha’s family spent five months fleeing conflict around the city of Kadugli before reaching the Goz Al-Salam IDP camp in Kosti, South Sudan with little food and no access to medical care. Aisha had not eaten for two weeks and was severely dehydrated. She was transported to a clinic and later transferred to a hospital where doctors diagnosed kidney failure linked to dehydration and malnutrition. Aisha died two weeks later
