Sorry, it's the wrong question. Can we replant them with new trees that will thrive in decades ahead FAST ENOUGH TO BRING CO2 DOWN? The answer is no. Not until we stop ground extraction of carbon and add other recapture because trees grow slowly. They are part of the answer, but not all of it.

The temperature is increased by MECHANICAL COMPRESSION with no heat transfer and that DOES NOT violate the second law. The works out that it dramatically improves efficiency while maintaining high power. Rough estimates show this can cut all fuel usage by as much as 1/3. Engines alone is about 1/6.

Bob Tipton @luditetechy.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
The heat from the power cycle, right hand side, is dumped into colder gas at low absolute temperature. The the gas is compressed, raising its temperature above ambient, where it's dumped. It looks like heat flows from cold to hot, but there IS NO HEAT FLOW because it's in an insulated cylinder.

We're all told it's impossible. It's not. For over 50 years Carnot's Thermal Efficiency formula, in every physics book, as capped fuel efficiency at 33% to 50%. We have an article, under peer review, which uses Carnot's formula to disprove Carnot's formula. The new limit is 100%.

It's technical and tries to cover as many points of view as we can manage. It's all written by real humans with no input from the Artificial Idiots. Our goal is 100% elimination of ground extracted fuel and replacing it with cheaper synthetics. Same cars and furnaces, lower bills & carbon negative

Libertarianism always had a flaw and this amplifies it to the max. The basis is "I should be free to do what I want so long as it doesn't harm others," ignoring who defines what harm means? Behind they words is, they get to decide what harms us and that's anarchy/tyranny.

There's a great deal of evidence that Russia has been feeding the fires of discontent in America for years. I suspect they've been feeding this self destructive narcissism for at least 30 years and I can think of no one better positioned to speak out against it than @alfranken.bsky.social

Putting others before self and punishing those who don't was the foundation of America and democracy. Instead, this put selfishness before service and today; We're paying the price. Games theory proves that pure self interest destroys, but altruism builds strength.

Whoever’s behind it spent decades developing new, asymmetrical military tactics to fracture our democracies from within and it’s working. We must recognize this is probably a new form of military attack, determine who’s behind it and defend ourselves. it’s goal is to divide us. Don’t let it!

I’ve been tracking this back to the Syrian civil war and the refugee caravan on the US/Mexico border. One of the democratic nations’ strengths is our humanity, but it looks like someone has found a way to weaponize refugees and turn it into a vulnerability. Putin’s Hidden Hand?

A cancer treatment that requires 3 capsules a day for life at $10 each is profitable. A one time gene therapy solution, which puts that patient into remission for life (effectively a cure for that patient) isn't nearly as profitable. This is not how you or I look at the problem, but how they do.
