I’m directing my first movie! I’ve always dreamed of going back to my roots for my first film, which means Mexico and horror. Already have an incredible cast and producing partner attached. More to come!

An original spec

I hate that if I draft an email on desktop and then edit on mobile (or viceversa) the font sizes are different but you can’t tell until you send it! If you read the email on desktop it looks fine but on mobile it looks ugly with all the different font sizes! Gmail, get your shit together! 😂

I sold the movie I wrote during (and finished after) the strike! And yes, it’s an original spec. Let’s go!

The best villains aren’t written just as villains, but also as people. I immediately notice when a villain is simply a portrayal of a type of person the writer dislikes. The result is one-dimensional characters with no depth. Give your villains empathy!

I don’t understand why the US has so many drug commercials. Medication should be prescribed by a doctor, why would they advertise to the general public like it’s their favorite pizza?

That Pacers vs Knicks game was insane!!!

I hope one day the world goes back to empathy and kindness.

Horror-comedies are great but can we also have just regular horror films again? 🙏🏼

A wedding, a family retreat and then another wedding. All the traveling got to me. 🤧 Looking forward to not going anywhere for a few months!

My boyfriend makes the best espresso martinis. Sipping this while chatting for a long time on the balcony, wearing our coziest hoodie. What a beautiful night. ❤️

What are other passions you have besides writing? Or other jobs you’ve had that you’ve enjoyed? Rooms really value non-writing professional experience. It’s crazy how specific they get sometimes so definitely lean on that.

I’ve been very optimistic lately, it’s been a couple of weeks of great news & progress. But today is a low day. I’m feeling the accumulation of exhaustion & stress. Some may be struggling more than others but we’re all feeling it. I’m letting myself be a couch potato today. Tomorrow, I keep going.

We get beautiful fog very often in Playa Vista and that inspired my new genre pilot. I’m obsessed with my foggy mornings and nights. 😍

Coralie Fargeat sent out a 90 page (!!!) look-book with THE SUBSTANCE screenplay when they were shopping it. Not a pitch deck. An entire feature length look-book that tracks the movie from beginning to end with horrific images. It’s rad… and inspiring as hell. Link: drive.google.com/file/d/16jkY...

I’m very proud and honored to have been a ScreenCraft fellow in 2019. My experience with them was nothing short of wonderful, and I credit them for many of the milestones that followed that win…

Started a new pilot on the second week of January and finished it last night! This is the fastest I’ve ever written anything. Specially since I’m not a native English speaker. Somehow this pilot just flowed.

When I shift my focus to the goodness of people, I feel stronger and more resilient. I believe. And I don’t think we can do much if we don’t believe first.

Last week I had a meeting that regenerated the hope I was starting to lose after such a rough year in the industry. I didn’t realize how exhausted and drained I was. I’ve always been an optimist, guided by a precious spark I can’t describe. That spark is back.

Today is my mother’s birthday. And my 11th anniversary in Los Angeles. I wrote a little bit about my journey as I realized the bravery it takes to move to another country. All my love to every immigrant out there! 🧡

My checking account was emptied with fraudulent activities. Never seen this happen with checking accounts, only credit cards. My bank and the people at my branch have been INCREDIBLE. Shout out to everyone doing their jobs with empathy. Also - calm down, 2025!
