"May I suggest something?~" Yeah she felt a bit smug for having a plan... And she made no effort to hide it....

"I wouldn't call this under control... There are hostages and explosives there... You two will have to be VERY careful, including you, Supergirl…. I know you are fast, but some of those criminals inside do have superpowers, and we do not know them yet, don't risk innocents." ++

"Apparently they do have members who escaped from the Red Ring. But most are criminals recruited in the streets, at least this is what the police department shared with us, Robert is trying to do his computer magic to see if he can find something else. So far the cops have them surrounded ++

"Then come to my terminal, something big came up, and I need to show you two. Supergirl is here already."

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

It would, if they can fix a Mech, they can fix her mask. After half an hour when the mask had been fixed already, Mel entered contact. "Need both of you here."

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Meanwhile, Mel returned to her terminal and went to work... She wanted something big, but that required a bit of luck. Luck and begging... So she will use the fact she had Supergirl on her team for now to convince other dispatchers to leave any big emergency to her.

000

.... Mas tu é porra... [Almost face palming.]

Mel nodded her head and gave her a smile. "All right then Glimmer, stay put and get ready, I'll send you two as soon as I see something big for us, okay?"

000

"Well... We can still finish today's shift and see where it goes, all right? Is it okay if I send you both together for another dispatch?" Wanted to make sure it was fine to continue.

000

It's the same when you say you think people would dislike you for your appearance, when I'm pretty sure most cool people would find a strong tail something hot.

See? Sometimes I feel like you have no idea what you are talking about.

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Mel crossed her arms, she was just looking at Honey for a moment. "Be honest with me, do you hate this experience? Because I'm not trying to change you, just trying to show you about heroism and hero work. How you do your job will always be your choice in the end. But if you hate it, we can ++

100

"It's not about dealing with the situation faster, is about you learning how a hero sometimes has to reassure civilians. Not always you will be able to solve something, sometimes in order to save, calming others down, makes the job easier."

000

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Oh please, who doesn't like to hear some gal yap about whatever is on her mind? That would be a lame reason to think someone is annoying.

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

"But keeping the client calm and out of distress was exactly what we were trying to teach you how to do..."

000

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Jist because I'm not annoying to you, doesn't mean I'm not annoying.

100

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Well, one in particular, I'm afraid I'm too annoying to her. But that doesn't matter right now.

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

"She won't just leave you hanging if you need it, but I am trying to give you some experience dealing with people... she probably is trying to the same, just in her own way. I'm sorry.

000

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Mel sighed... "I think I see the issue... You see this as a punishment while I'm just hoping you can have some experience dealing with distressed people. Sometimes, it isn't about being efficient, It's about being able to calm people down to avoid the situation to escalate."

000

𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑧𝑖𝑛ℎ𝑎 @luckystarmel.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I sure hope they do, sometimes I'm afraid some of them don't really like me.

"Don't you think she may have done that for you?"

000

"I don't think she compromises missions, I haven't worked with her for long, of course... but... I feel like she does keep things under control on her own way."

"I'm going..." Pointing to the door. "Ah... I'll check on Supergirl too, to make sure she is okay after all those shocks, then I'll be back to my terminal, if you need anything, just let me know."

000

"Right... I don't see why I wouldn't be taking this serious..." Mel looked down and scratched her head... Girl didn't know what to feel right now, but she felt a bit sad.
