I have to groan every time some furry posts a "why can't all trans people just get along, why so much infighting" fakedeep bullshit. Transmisogyny. We can't all get along because of transmisogyny. Fix it, instead of demanding trans people to just sweep their own abuse under the rug.

drawing of a white-ish/yellow rabbit trans girl named Frances Makon. she's skinny and has a giant lopped ear covering her left eye. she is a butcher wearing a green stripped shirt, a bloody apron, and baggy jeans. she's holding a bloody butcher knife.

in the second pose she is lying down in her underwear while an older wolf woman licks her stomach with the text above that says "lil bunnies taste so good" and next to them is a doodle of two Venus symbols intertwined with each other.

the last post is her naked while holding a bloodied knife while she bleeds from her nose and looks concerned.

also just as an aside, if you think the history of gay rights activism is reducible to "Look, we're just regular people who want to love who we love. What's so wrong with that?" you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about, and here are just some of many possible examples
When Larry Littlejohn, or Bill Kraus, or Randy Shilts says the bathhouses should be shut down, or when Michelangelo Signorile says that we need to tell gay men to be "responsible," it represents a public denial of the sexual self, internalized as dirty, polluted, and diseased to begin with, and a concomitant desire to identify with and be accepted by the world of the "normal."

Some prostitutes distinguish themselves from, and look down on, women who perform in pornography, and vice versa, while some independent, higher-income prostitutes distance themselves from those who work on the street. The public hostility of some women to clothes designed to enhance women's erotic appeal, and the women who wear them, is another example.

Indeed, the women's movement has been divided for more than a decade over issues related to sexuality. At one end of the continuum are women like Catherine Mackinnon, Andrea Dworkin, Kathleen Barry, and Janice Raymond." who consider pornography to be the cause of violence against women, view prostitution as a kind of institutionalized gang rape, and want to eliminate sexual representation and the trade of sex and money. At the other end are women who look at sexuality as a terrain upon which to determine, and possibly to redefine, who we are in our most profound selves, and see pornography and prostitution as sites where the terrain, and the battle, are most visible.

- Priscilla AlexanderIf, by the late 1970s, lesbians had reshaped the sexual landscape of San
Francisco and carved out a space for themselves, cultural feminism still hindered the ability of many lesbians to imagine queerness more broadly. Sadomasochists, bisexuals, and transsexuals, in particular, were marginalized not only from the mainstream but also from the emerging lesbian community. Because many lesbians viewed “coming out” as a political act, the personal choices of lesbians were often subjected to close scrutiny by their peers. A 1972 article in the lesbian periodical the Furies argued that lesbianism was “more than a sexual preference, it is a political choice.”89 This pressure from the self-appointed spokeswomen of lesbian feminism—the “queen bees,” as some
critics described them—sharply delimited the terrain of acceptable lesbianism. Deborah Sundahl, a lesbian-feminist who later went on to spectacularly reject the central tenets of 1970s lesbian feminism, recalled that “lesbians were hiding by appealing to political feminism for legitimacy.” Part of that “hiding” involved the repression of sexual practices that the lesbian-feminist leadership deemed politically incorrect. In an unfortunate and ironic twist that was ultimately stultifying to unfettered lesbianism, the lesbian-feminist leaders of the 1970s demanded allegiance to their sexual strictures at least as adamantly as did the patriarchal society against which they were ostensibly revolting.

The dutiful lesbian of the 1970s and early 1980s was expected to resist
patriarchy on the streets and phallocentrism in the sheets. In a fabulously self-serving and melodramatic keynote address to the 1973 West Coast Lesbian Feminist Conference in Los Angeles—which drew about twelve hundred women from around the country—feminist Robin Morgan warned the lesbian crowd from adopting the “male style.”
The Gay Liberation Front rapidly expanded across the country, but at the very instant that the Los Angeles GLF chapter was founded (December 1969), the original New York chapter was already facing disarray, as more moderate liberationists split off to create the Gay Activists Alliance (GAA). Actually, fault lines had been present at the outset. Participants could not agree if it should be a consciousness-raising group or should be allied with other militant, nongay movements. There were tensions between those long involved with the homophile movement and newcomers, who had been involved in left or antiwar politics; there were tensions between people who wanted more structure and an organized process at meetings, and those who wanted a more egalitarian organizational process that had no leaders or conventional rules of order.

Like Mattachine, the GLF was ultimately doomed by vehement disagreement among gay activists on the question of single-issue or multi-issue politics. Moderates and conservatives argued against gay and lesbian organizations taking on nongay issues or causes. Rejecting any leftist analysis of gay oppression, they bitterly opposed gay groups joining nongay demonstrations to support the Black Panthers or to end the war, and even resisted lesbians who pointed out sexism within gay organizations. In its preamble and first brochure, GAA declared itself a single-issue organization, which would use confrontation, political activity, and education to promote gay and lesbian freedom. The rhetoric was neither purely civil rights nor revolutionary; it was a hybrid. GAA’s five early demands, for example, embodied the narrower focus of the group: repeal of sodomy laws; end of police harassment and entrapment; passage of a fair employment law; assurance of bonds to homosexuals; and an end to police and state harassment of gay bars. GAA’s tactics were also hybrids; it engaged in protest as well as political lobbying.Discussing the split years later with the historian Jonathan Katz, Harry Hay described it as a conflict in vision. “The original society was based upon this feeling of idealism, a great transcendent dream of what being Gay was all about. I had proposed from the very beginning that it would be Mattachine’s job to find out who we Gays were (and had been over the millennia) and what we were for, and on such basis, to find ways to make our contributions to our parent hetero society.” The moderates who took over the society in 1953 saw accommodation to straight norms as critical to the movement’s success. They argued that homosexuals should “adjust to a pattern of behavior that is acceptable to society in general and compatible with the recognized institutions of home, church, and state.” At the April 1953 convention, Marilyn Rieger, a member from Los Angeles, argued, “We know we are the same…no different than anyone else. Our only difference is an unimportant one to the heterosexual society, unless we make it important” [emphasis in original]. Rieger reasoned that stressing a homosexual culture distinct from the dominant one would only exacerbate the hostility of society, and she pleaded with the delegates to reject such a position. Equality for gay men and women would come, she said, “by integrating…not as homosexuals, but as people, as men and women whose homosexuality is irrelevant to our ideals, our principles, our hopes and aspirations.” To activists like Rieger, the founders’ insistence on defining gay and lesbian identity and claiming a distinct minority status created a chasm between gay and straight people. As John D’Emilio observes, “The emphasis that proponents of the gay minority status placed on being different aroused the antagonism of individuals who yearned above all for simple acceptance of who they were.”

How having a disability became cool
Young women, nicknamed ‘sickfluencers’, are turning chronic illness into a lifestyle trend and entrenching a culture of economic inactivity

Young women are also more likely to get caught up in “social contagion” – the spontaneous spread of behaviours or emotions previously observed by sociologists in “outbreaks” of bulimia, self-harm and transgender ideology. What may have otherwise been transitory feelings are seized upon and obsessed over until they form a central pillar of a person’s identity. A chronic-illness influencer won’t want to get “better” any more than a female-bodied transgender person would want to re-identify with their sex.
