luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 29mKyoshi is not universally loved, Roku was passive and then when they finally get to Aang they don’t put the pen down and naively say “Y’know he’s the main character of the first show he should just be good” 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 29mI actually think the biggest strength of Avatar is that the writers never treat the characters with the level of sanctity the fanbase seems to want so badly 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Referendum on dialogue in western animation because sorry it can *all* sound like this man 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Is the clear growth just that he’s a really good essayist? 070
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 06/10/2026RE: Jacob Geller, the one thing I scratch my head about a little is how often I’m seeing that he’s very clearly grown and changed and I’m not sure where that’s coming from? I can’t recall any major work he’s done about sexual violence beyond maybe charity streams? 2100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I’m sorry but was he just holding a breath the entire time because the University was forced to disclose its sanctions list 6 years ago 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 01/10/2026They’re trying to brute force discourse about Fortunes Weave but let me tell there is none, the game even adds points for Rhea AND Edelgard 001
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Every other hero based games does ship baiting through character voicelines meanwhile Deadlock doesn’t just outright tell you they’re banging, they’ll tell you that they’re freaks too 010
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Remember when video creators used to call their stuff shows. Like they weren’t The Retro Gamer, they were davebob256 and the videos were called The Retro Gamer 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 29/09/2026This is also the case for the a large amount of decomps and VR mods of games 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 24/09/2026This is the equivalent of expecting a teenager to make up their bed after waking up. 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I think the reason people are being thrown off by the boom of AI in fan games and rom hacks is that there’s an assumption that programmers attempt to understand their code and make it legible for others to understand 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I’m only sharing this one go play the game to see the rest 020
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 24/09/2026One of the downsides of Nintendo being so tight lipped with their developers is that I’ll never get an explanation on why they decided to fill Fortunes Weave with some of the best black and brown character designs of all time. 120
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Quite fond of Fortune’s Weave and its gameplay so far, only complaint is that the Live 2D portraits look weird with the little neck lean that Fire Emblem Portraits have 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 19/09/2026It’s a feat that they made a visibly old Egyptian woman a popular character in every region the game is played in 010
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Anna Overwatch is genuinely one of the strongest character designs ever put into a video game 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I’m learning that the famous Reddit horror story about random staircases in American National Parks introduces the nefarious upside down staircases in a later chapter 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 13/09/2026In this one they’re just literally living their lives and their parents(ish) say hey you’re marrying this person. The movie is 160 minutes long. In the last 10 minutes the house catches on fire. 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 13/09/2026When I was younger they used to just make Bollywood movies about weddings. It’d be 2 and a half hours about straight up nothing and then two characters, who may not even be the main characters, just got married at the end 110
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I've actually seen more stuff throwing dirt on Vraska so far tbh 010
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Saying Avatar Seven Havens not is feeling Asian is a bit of a showing your ass moment I’m afraid because the show is clearly leaning towards Indian influences 030
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 10/09/2026You may not think it but everything happening with Sony right now can be traced back to Days Gone coming out and people collectively going “What?” When the game landed very normally as a normal game that was very normal 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I am happy the Ocarina of Time remake is only 2 months out because I know the discourse is going to be insufferable 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Cosmic horror isn’t actually a real thing is it, it’s just a thing in video essays no? 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Apologies to my friends as I’ve now become a dude that sends music I make to get your opinion 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 03/09/2026At any point in in time any major wrestling promotion employs at least five men that they’re aware should not be alone around women 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 03/09/2026See the trick with Pro-Wrestling is that the industry is deeply conservative and filled with sex pests but one specific company screams it from the rooftop so everyone else just shuts the fuck up to present themselves as the better option 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 03/09/2026No actually I don’t want Monolith Soft to be the lead on the Ocarina of Time remake, I’ve seen how yall treat studios who work on remakes. 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 02/09/2026I didn’t wake up today deciding I needed to learn music theory, I came to me in the evening instead because I thought I was having a nice day and needed to ruin it 110
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 01/09/2026They need to give that Hathaway boy a bald cut and a cold bucket of ice 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Bismuth discourse gets over talked but it’s a bullet point on a post it note of occasional things about black women the show does that makes you go “hmmmmm I can see why you wouldn’t do that today” 080
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 28/08/2026what’s your thoughts on the rate we’re getting repeating mechanics, I.e we got two mono white token doublers last year just a set apart, a mono green new “play lands from your graveyard” each year 010
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 28/08/2026“Climate change is a series of disasters filmed on phone until you’re the one filming it” is a bit of shit quote to be honest 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 20/08/2026I think making YouTube videos where you just have to hope that another YouTuber will find your stuff, cover it and make more money off of it and trickle down some growth to you is a bit depressing 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 18/08/2026The funnier version of this is not getting why Ming Lee hates Miriam in Turning Red. Way funnier, that poor girl doesn’t even know it 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 18/08/2026There’s a whole sea of people who do not understand why others have completely written off Gwen after the second Spider-Verse movie. And it gets even more messy once you factor in the reading of the movie where Gwen is trans. 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 18/08/2026One of the interesting things about animated stuff featuring more non-white characters is that occasionally there’s rift in fandom based on lived experience and it just cannot be squared. 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 16/08/2026I think they should mix it up and have an Andor planet in Kingdom Hearts 4 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Are Kairi fans sane because I think “We have Sora and Riku so we of course need someone else, Mickey” would make me just go for a walk 200
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Oh man I’m so disappointed that Yshtola, Nights Blessed is the #1 commander, such a boring generically good card unlike the other two top commanders, The Ur-Dragon and Edgar Markov 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Every once in a while a character will mention a firebender killing someone in their life and it gets mentioned enough you think it’s a pattern and…nothing? 000
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 12/08/2026It’s really odd how The Legend of Korra just keeps mentioning fire benders as the perpetrators of a bunch of random crimes and it nevers mentioned at all 100
luca @lucaisluca.bsky.social · 10/08/2026If you enjoyed Obsession you’re not actually allowed say anything, you sit in a circle with all your Obsession friends and just take turns saying “Bear is the villain” 000
