Looking forward to my first international talk 🇬🇧😊 I'll be in London from Thursday (22.10) till Sunday morning (25.10). Let's meet if you're also there :)

I closed this post. I got quite overwhelmed with all the replies as I thought this would maybe attract one person if I'm lucky 😅 I got quite a few leads (even local ones) and I will try to find someone that is matching my ideas the best. Thank you all for your time and replies

I never thought of this amount of replies so your comment totally makes sense 😅 not yet. It's the only image I'm happy with but I would love to hear ideas

Yeah a better version of our own yak mascot and maybe also in different poses:

Next yak mascot - a fluffy colorful yak in a jumping pose

Yes 😅 Thank you for the heads up. I didn't think so many would answer, but it seems I'm now in the bubble 😅 I didn't think of bots or disguised ai agents so your answer is really appreciated 🙈

100

Yes exactly. But it should become easier and more convenient to use. And one alternative is not enough 😅

000

SolidJS runtime for yak: styled-components syntax, compiled to plain CSS at build time. Targets Solid 2.

I'm really overwhelmed by how amazing @ryansolid.bsky.social is managing solid, it's RC phase and supports downstream projects like our @yak/solid (npmx.dev/package/@yak...) experiment. Really well done and we can learn a ton out of it.

npmx.dev

@yak/solid - npmx

Do you know anyone that does mascot/icon design? I know AI is pressuring them, but I want to support human made art instead.

1180

We need an alternative to npm

It's always the same. Once something becomes a measurement, people will find a way to game it.

100

MEAP is awesome. I had it once that I forgot that I supported a book and it was like a gift in the mailbox 😅

Luca Schneider @luca.schneider.is · 22/09/2026

Nice talk 😊 would be interesting to know what libraries use the already fulfilled promises

000

Yes indeed. But my last name is even more common 😭

Luca Schneider @luca.schneider.is · 22/09/2026

Sadly my name is too common to have a nice domain 🥲

Luca Schneider @luca.schneider.is · 18/09/2026

My first ever conference talk for react advanced is finally finished. Now I just need to learn what I want to say 😅

Luca Schneider @luca.schneider.is · 18/09/2026

Thank you. Yak also directly benefits from that 😊

Sorry I'm not wealthy enough

After 5 weeks of teaching I have to say that I really like it. And that feeling you get if somebody understands what you want them to understand is incredibly satisfying 😊 Even better when you get feedback from the students that you did a good job 😊

For me personally I would say B, but depends how deep A goes. If it's really deep, A would also be interesting

Luca Schneider @luca.schneider.is · 13/09/2026

True that 😅 Thank you 😊

We went to capannacristallina.casticino.ch so close to the Gotthard :)

Whats better than a 2 day hike without internet after a a very good conference. I would say nothing, touching grass is always welcome in this time 😎

Ok that's why I never heard about it 😅

Local communities are the best 😁

Looking forward to the next iteration of @zurichjs.com make it happen. It was incredible 😍😍😍

3150

As a Swiss I would say a bit better than ok 😁

Loved the last talk @zurichjs.com from @danielroe.dev. Very resonated with me and it was fun to influence his talk with emojis. Its important to connect with people and build friendship through the internet ❤️

@tolin.ski animations on his presentation are next level @zurichjs.com and I really feel the important topic slamming right trough my thoughts on AI.

052

Sorry Ramona, I didn't find your handle 😅 @leichteckig.bsky.social Your talk was really awesome

Presenting without slides? This is incredible 🤯Ramona Schwering drawing her presentation live @zurichjs.com was a very good and special experience

Best slide so far (no bashing. It was before the official adapter) at @zurichjs.com thanks @philippeserhal.com

An image showing a slide that adapting next.js before they partnered with netlify and creating an official adapter was very hard

Your talk was very good and your visuals were even better. Loved every second of it

Luca Schneider @luca.schneider.is · 10/09/2026

If you look closely you see our plan 😉 but yes. It's about time

Luca Schneider @luca.schneider.is · 10/09/2026

We've successfully expanded beyond react. Our first version of solid support is up. npmx.dev/package/@yak... We're working on making this better and faster, but it's great to see that our concept works across frameworks. Let's see which framework comes next 🕵️
