More and more people are leaving their skepticism behind. Ten days ago, I saw Charity Majors share something similar with Gergely Orosz. (link below) I'd love to hear from people who are still skeptical to understand their perspective. If you are one of them, please reach out.

Every OpenAI employee should have an unlimited Claude subscription, and vice versa.

Yesterday, I started watching Due Spicci by Zerocalcare on Netflix. Today, I was in Rome for a celebration, and the church was right in front of the restaurant from the series. It honestly felt like a glitch in the Matrix.

Hermes was failing to share a job report over Telegram. Solution: give it a simpler task and let it learn from it. 💡

I finally caved and resubscribed to OpenAI after three years away to test Codex and Hermes. Has anyone else tried them recently? Let's see if it’s worth keeping the sub!

Call me old school, but I miss when JS was just JS. TypeScript syntax adds so much visual clutter that I struggle to read it. e.g. github.com/cursor/cookb... (Zero hate to Cursor, their stuff is awesome. It's just me and TS not getting along! 🛑💻)

TIL: People are saying it will be harder to learn Software Engineering if you delegate the implementation to Agents. Today, I actually learned about flock thanks to an agent that implemented a script for me. Check out `man flock` you might learn something new yourself!

The best AI users are the ones that understand what the model is good at and how to route around what it's not good at. Anthropic is reducing friction. But the gap between average and elite usage? That's on you. Start experimenting. Push the boundaries.

I've canceled my GitHub Copilot subscription and I'm missing it already. I'll use this occasion to experiment with other LLMs and harnesses and report back. For now, I've added some credits to OpenAI and I'm installing Pi (pi.dev).

I've been speaking English 8+ hours a day every working day for the past 11 years, and I'm at a point where I get annoyed when I'm not able to express a concept because I lack vocabulary. I'm thinking in English and I know what I want to say, but the word is not there 🤬.

The Anthropic trainer is bragging that they have a very high usage limit and can run at 50 concurrency, while suggesting that YOU run at 3... or more realistically, 2 or 1 or you'll be rate limited. 🤣

TIL: on the "Building with Claude API" course on Anthropic’s Skilljar I learned how to use assistant messages and stop_sequences to extract structured data. TL;DR: Inject an assistant message with "```python" to force the model down a path and set a stop sequence to "```" to extract the code.

Reality is that after 11 years of working from home, I really miss communities. IRC felt like a true gathering of people around common interests. I suppose we have Discord now, but I really don't like the UX (maybe I'm just getting old! 🤣).

This is the IC’s golden era. The range of experiments we can run now is mind-blowing. I’ve talked to several managers who all say the same thing: they’d go back to an IC role just to experiment with these tools. We’ve got creative freedom and execution speed that felt impossible until recently.

Project Jarvis update: the \afk command. 🤖 Yesterday I left Jarvis running a task, only to come back and find it paused because it asked me a question. So, I added an \afk command to redirects questions over to Telegram when I'm away from the keyboard. 🎉

Another evening, another feature for Jarvis. Let's see if we can talk to it over IM. It looks like people are going for tokenmaxxing, I'm trying request-maxxing. I'm trying to see how much I can squeeze into a single GitHub Copilot request. Can I do it with two (1 Planning, 1 Implementation)?

What better way to spend a couple of hours on Easter Monday than testing the new Gemma-4 with Claude Code via LM Studio? The performance isn't quite there yet, especially on my M2 Pro with 32GB of RAM, but it's still interesting to test the model's capabilities. #Gemma4 #LMStudio #LocalLLM #GenAI

You can now run Gemma 4 locally on your phone! The Edge Gallery App by Google allows you to run some models on your phone, and the performance is decent even with some older phones. This is my Galaxy S22 Ultra running Gemma 4 4B. I now want to test one of the most recent phones, maybe a Pixel 😏.

Tonight, I'm learning something new by watching Claude Sonnet fix my code after bumping the copilot-sdk/go version. Using go doc <library> can be faster than checking the web documentation. Also, it is good to see Claude Sonnet help fix its friend, GitHub Copilot 🫶

As I said, Jarvis, my personal toy agent, can now create subagents. How do you prevent subagents from spawning other agents? 🤔 Easy! You don't pass the run_agent tool to them. 👏

Friday night update: Jarvis is leveling up. 🛠️ I’ve been working on this agent (built on my langchain-go experiment) for a few weeks, and today’s milestone is a big one: Task Delegation. I added a subagent tool so Jarvis can now spin up dedicated workers for specific sub-tasks.

I’m not really an "orchestrate multiple AI agents in parallel" kind of person. Unless my GitHub Copilot quota resets in two days and I still have 42% left 👀. Then I suddenly become an absolute system-architecture visionary.

This is about YOUR data and AI. This is the message I just got from GitHub. I don't have much to say aside from "make your choice, I made mine". At least GitHub has been transparent enough to make the pop-up very visible. Full blog post here github.blog/news-insight...
