Sorry what's "Nick Fury" mean as a verb here? I'm in the process of cleaning & debugging/calibrating a long-disused 3D printer to join in with producing whistles!

I suppose this might also be handy for Blind people, since they could "feel the colors"? I'd love to chat about that with someone who is blind; I expect them working with fire & hot wax would not be a smart move, but I can make them as stickers.

Meanwhile, nobody in government on either side is willing to acknowledge how doing nothing to prevent COVID transmission is disabling more Americans every day. Schools that change classes 8X/day are about the worst possible spreading conditions.

Beautiful! Sadly, postcards go through different sorting machines that do NOT tolerate wax seals well; on letters or packages, they'll sail right through (with the right wax).

...the LGBTQ+ Pride stamp. I haven't actually made this one yet; the plan is to do that when I have a few other designs to print together since with minimum order prices & shipping costs, it's generally not worth ordering just 1 piece.

For International Day of Persons With Disabilities & #ArtAdventCalendar Day 3, this is my design for the Disability Pride Flag as a wax seal. Since getting 6 different colors of wax in the right places would be ridiculous even for me, I use different texture patterns, similar to how I made...

The Disability Pride Flag, rendered with texture patterns instead of colors.
It's a wide rectangle with 5 diagonal stripes from top-left to bottom-right

The same Disability Pride Flag, viewed from an angle to better appreciate the 3D textures

Rendering of the stamp that will make the Disability Pride Flag wax seal previously shown. The top of the handle has the same design to help avoid setting it upside down.

That's why I make these to ask everyone to don PPE BEFORE they come in. I also usually bring my own air filter and/or cold fog humidifier filled with HOCl to help clear out what has been left behind by others. bsky.app/profile/ltbr...

It's all about the Benjamins - bosses & building owners don't want to be on the hook for HVAC overhauls or Far UVC everywhere, but lots of them made their private spaces Davos Safe before the denial kicked in. These help sometimes, especially if you stick N95s to the door. bsky.app/profile/ltbr...

The Scales of Justice wax seal makes a great gift for a lawyer! It's also the Zodiac symbol for Libra. This one is my all-time best seller. #ArtAdventCalendar Day 2

Photo of a Scales of Justice wax seal in yellow wax, and the 3D printed stamp that makes it.
The vertical support & bowls have a rounded 3D effect & the balance bar sticks up farther than the other details.
The stamp also has the same design on top of the handle so it's easier to set straight.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 1: The Snowflake. Great for holiday cards to those who might not celebrate Christmas, I use 3D printing to make the branches at angles so that different parts will shine brighter depending on the angle you see it from & where the light is.

Photo of a snowflake wax seal in white wax, with branches angled differently so they change brightness with your perspective relative to the light, and the 3D printed stamp that makes it.
The stamp also has the same design on top of the handle so it's easier to set straight.

World AIDS Day is for mourning victims of Social Murder through systematic denial & discrimination. Just knowing the facts is not enough - we must not repeat the harm. We learned to prevent spreading HIV with gloves & condoms to avoid exposure; now for COVID we need to all wear N95s.

I've read that stockings hung on the fireplace were there to dry hallucinagenic 🍄 to consume on the Solstice, & the red & white theme of Santa Claus comes from the colors of those mushrooms lol.

Photo of a wax seal in red wax, the design is a Christmas stocking with a Christmas tree in the side & candy cane hanging out the top. Also the seal that makes it, with the same design on top of the handle.

Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day, & Ramen to my Pastafarian friends! How, precisely, mail gets from the Hispaniola to the Revenge, I can't truly say. #itlapd #TalkLikeAPirateDay #WaxSeal #skull

Photo of handwritten letter:
Ahoy Robert,
What does a pirate say when he becomes an octogenarian?
Aye matey! (then there's a red wax seal of a skull)
Kindest Regards,

How about referring them doing the opposite as Vice Signaling? Really they're projecting their own guilt; if you talk a big game about Liberation, but don't mask up in public spaces, that inaction betrays how little inconvenience they think our lives are worth!

Beyond brain fog: #COVID19 can leave lasting effects on the brain. Honored to be invited to write this editorial for the Journal of the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology. It relates to @virusesimmunity.bsky.social team's review. You can read it here: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

Beyond brain fog: COVID-19 can leave lasting effects on the brain. Image shows a summary of the key findings observed in autopsy and animal studies investigating how SARS-CoV-2 can impact the body and induce neuroimmune dysregulation. A disruption in how the brain communicates with the body can lead to the development of several complex symptoms, which have been observed in Long Covid patients.

Of particular note is that for the white stripe down the middle, I've made the wax very thin, so hopefully more of the paper will show through. I hope the seal would be accessible for blind or visually impaired people who can feel the shape & textures directly. Details of the flag design 👇🏻

For #DisabilityPride Day, the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, here is my seal design #300; the #DisabilityPrideFlag! Like on my LGBTQ+ Pride Flag design, I used texture patterns in lieu of colors. Preorder now on my Etsy store! lightbringerdesigns.etsy.com/listing/4341...

Angled view of a Disability Pride Flag wax seal with a variety of texture patterns to convey different colors, a gray rectangle with 5 diagonal stripes. The corners have a square texture, stripes are circles, diagonal slashes, flat & very thin, jagged triangles, and large diamonds.

The color original flag I used as a starting point. The corners are gray with diagonal stripes top-left to bottom-right in muted colors - red, gold, white, blue, & green.

Lawn signs in particular, though, are rather expensive to ship, especially for just one - they're very large, and need sturdy packaging. If you know a bunch of people people locally who would put them out and a printer you could drive to, I could gladly make the color version at the right scale...
