iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

At this point I don't think we can call it falling for manipulation as much as wilfully embracing very bad choices

Wait are you kidding me. Aew vs njpw in Japan ft. Mox ospreay mjf and Kenny and they're gonna do it. At wrestle kingdom. Aka the one week I WILL NOT BE IN JAPAN

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

The whole show was like this. Total silly mayhem

010

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

There was a big multiman free for all and a 100k yen cash prize on the line and they were all frantically making spontaneous alliances and promises to split the money fifty fifty if one of them wins! Only to betray their partner moments later

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

This is pound for pound the silliest show I have ever been to. I'm overjoyed

And here we see dragongates rendition of the Millers tale quite beautiful.

I'm not immune to slapstick! You're not immune to slapstick! It's evergreen

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

First time seeing a clowns match. Idk how I didn't realise or expect there to be actual and *good* clowning in this that was fabulous

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Also holy SHIT I would like to see those 2 go again. AAAAAA

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Very glad the match between members of the faction called Love and Peace was filled with all the vitriol and physical brutality that only siblings can produce.

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Pleasing randomness to all of this

Back in the building for round two the following day like a sucker

The rainbow boss coffee I had for the first time 7 years ago was my introduction to all of coffee and I've never looked back so we're in agreement there

The mountain illuminations spelling out the city's name definitely also contribute to those vibes

People who've never seen dragongate will be like brodido and hangman vs swerve and the new level is the best trios match of all time

120

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Yet another dragongate trios match that has left me reduced to Clapping Like A Seal

120

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

I'm a little tipsy off a chuuhai and I'm concerned I may be in love with like half the dragongate roster

110

There are few lovable babyfaces I love to watch get the shit beat out of them in the ring more than GuC

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Jiro having more chest hair than anyone in dg and maybe in all of puro is wonderful

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Jiro taking the gong kids interview so seriously as a professional businessman. I love this promotion so much

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

At sambo hall again for dragongate. Holy shit it's just sunk in that I can have this all the time now I live in Kobe. Oh wow

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

But (so far) they have been committed to telling an Interesting yaoi story not merely pandering to assumed fangirl tropes. Long as they continue to do that as a priority it's all cool with me. Also if they commit to it hard enough to actually kiss on the mouth

010

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

And a part of me does have a tinge of worry because so often it does not spell anything good once the performers are directly engaging with the shippers, in a medium where they're also playing to a much more dominant straight male crowd. these 2 have earned my trust but my heads a little tilted

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

To be clear: I do not condemn hangman and swerve if they're knowingly fujobaiting. Like the wrestling business is a carny one I respect the hustle. But I do think it is worth bearing that in mind as they shamelessly work us like the yaoi addicted marks we are.

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I may be delusional but I think swerve and hangman are now, if they weren't before, directly playing to The Shippers. Why, we cannot say. They may know like us that they're telling the greatest love story ever told. Or... they understand that fujobaiting sells tickets and keeps them relevant.

110

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

3. Sorryyyyyy Im being worked enough as it is and I need some realistic pessimism

120

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Unless I am forgetting one I think swerve has 5 wins over hangman: 2 in singles and 3 in multiman (b&g 24, all in 26, all out 26). But then hangman only has one win over swerve that's unsanctioned, and they don't have 2 draws on their record. Hm

Perhaps he is referring to the fundamental musical cadence of jazz and pop music, the 2-5-1?

His promo delivery. I loved so much hearing a geordie accent in wrestling first of all and pac's was a voice like no other. He could have voice acted for video game final bosses I think.

I think the thing with pac was how much joy he had in being an absolute fucking gremlin; look at this render from when they'd just recently bagged danielson. Just utter glee. One of my favourite renders of any wrestler ever.

Pac smiling with big wide eyes looking like an unhinged goblin man

My working theory is this is hangman having a crisis at being forced to confront his ex when he's just made a commitment to his rebound and hes just going for whatever signals that he's NOT the man he was with swerve and why not just shake things up anyway it's a new chapter. Mullet!

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

On a lighter note I listened to this week's @tunneltalkpod.bsky.social with great anticipation for their thoughts on the strickpage segment. I loved the gradual arc of admitting hangman's haircut and look weren't working for him but turning it into a positive by thanking him for the "friction"

Worlds collide vs all out who cares the far more sickening counter programming is dragongate against shun Skywalker's first njpw singles match :(

Good time to recall that more often than not all out is a painful ppv for hangman. Some of his most haunting career moments: losing to Jericho, Kenny literally dropping him, losing to the elite for trios belts (!) (plus everything after all out '22 that followed him for years) and of course the cage

020

Katie K @lsdandkizuki.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

It's crazy that anyone ever worried that hangman and swerve would get less deranged after reconciling cause what's happened is they've combined the intense smouldering hate obsessed looks they've always given each other with this layer of yearning and heartbreak that is almost sickening to witness

I miss Kendall Roy. I felt so close to that character and it's always funny to show episode 1 to people who are seeing him for the first time and say "Katie he's insufferable" and I'm just going 😍 he paid 1.6 billion dollars for a gay little website

The stakes were Win the Belt but also definitively beat Kenny omega and take his mantle as the greatest wrestler in the world. Much more of a NJPW style story of personal growth and achievement than good vs evil, although Kenny did his best to coax people away from cheering him by being evil
