1. Two decades ago, a friend was a teaching assistant in a method course at UofT. A student came to see him because there was something wrong. Analysing the CES data, they found that Quebec was not more anti-immigration than other provinces. The student wanted to know where they had made a mistake.

In the US, they’ve scrapped the rule to consult the public before repealing regulations. Up here, our government is gearing up to fast-track big projects. Speed’s great, but skipping the people most affected? That comes with a cost. I put my two cents into the debate at @policyoptions.irpp.org.
