Currently in my head I have the idea that I'll post a spooky toy every day for the month of October. How long will that motivation last? #ToyPhotography #Halloween

A photo of Neca's Ultimate Sam from Trick 'r Treat. He's a kid in orange footie pajamas with a huge round head with a burlap sack over it. He's shot at a Dutch angle cause spooky.

Getting out the Halloween decorations and I realized I got a solid variety of types of zombie toys. Zombie superheros, zombie wrestlers, zombie robots somehow. I should seek out more.

An action figure of Captain America, except he's a zombie

An action figure of a droid from Star wars, inexplicably a bit rhas been taken out of his head and he is now a zombie

Aan action figure of Stone Cold Steve Austin, except he's a zombie. The entirety of the skin from his head is gone, and his eye sockets are smoking, so he literally has a smoking skull

I think this one is called a Sparkless Bot? It's a transformer that's seemingly supposed to be dead, the car he turns into is all rusty. I co sider him a zombie, idk what happened in the show it came from.

It's #VintageToyTuesday and today I have Skippy from the defunct Disney World ride Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter! He comes in both regular and extra crispy flavors. I don't know when these were actually made, but the ride closed 23 years ago so probabaly at least that long ago. #DisneyParks

Two toys of Skippy from the defunct Disney World ride Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter. He's a small fluffy alien with four legs, two arms, a long snout, and two antenna. On the left he's living his best life, on the right he is suffering.

Pro tip: if you hate using stickers because then they'll be done, just put them in a frame and hang them on your wall. Because they are art @jdelaneydoodles.bsky.social

For this #VintageToyTuesday I dug through my two buckets of Hot Wheels cars for what are probably the oldest cars in my collection. Seemingly both from the bygone year of 1992 despite stamps saying 1983 and 1988, respectively. The Chevy is probably my most normal car-looking-car. But that paint!

A very small bit of paint for Blokees Jeff the Land Shark

Blokees Jeff the Land Shark: BEFORE - the interior of his mouth is completely white and there's a small patch of unpainted white plastic on his otherwise pink collar

Blokees Jeff the Land Shark: AFTER - the interior of his mouth and gums and now a reddish pink, and the bit of collar has now been painted with some color matching I'm pretty damn proud of.

Blokees Jeff the Land Sharkin a sitting pose with his newly painted gums and collar. It's a shame I didn't do a good job reassembling his jaw after painting and left a huge gap that wasn't there in the before photo

Oh but then maybe I found the Twin Mill the transformer is based on at a thrift store for a quarter.

A Twin Mill transformer and a Twin Mill Hot Wheels car. They look so god daimn like the same person. I would say to them, “You want ice cream cone?;” both of them say yes.

I've removed all the American decorations from Breakaway and decided he's Primus. A Primus that turns into a suspiciously soccer ball shaped Cybertron. #Transformers

Transformers Breakaway, not transformed into a robot. A robot that does not have anything patriotic American decorations on him. Because this is Primus, and not a toy meant to celebrate the world cup.

Primus being Primus by holding the matrix of leadership, seems like something that's not a soccer ball robot would do

Finally picked up a Twin Mill to compare to the Transformers x Hot Wheels collab figure and I am genuinely shocked at how off model the alt mode is on the Transformer. There's barely a passing resemblance between the two .

A photo of a small plush car next to a blue transformer figure

The same small plush car next to the transformer now transformed into some kind of cool race car. The plush car is shaped like a car a child would draw.

Thrift store find, they got in a bunch of movie era Transformers and priced them all horribly considering most were missing parts. I guess I reinforced that behavior though cause I bought one.

Surprise! The binoculars were a small robot!

For #vintagetoytuesday I had the realization that Marvel Minimates are 23 years old this month. And this made me crumble into dust. These guys were my biggest obsession for a long time.

A Spider-Man Minimate doing a dynamic "superhero landing" type pose. Similar to, but not entirely unlike a Lego Minifigure with more articulation. Spider-Man's feet here are not vintage, I swapped them out for the updated ones with holes, which I plopped magnets into, he lives on my fridge.

Ross had a cheap Ghostbusters Optimus Prime, so a spare Blokees Ultra Magnus needed a repaint to be its robot mode. I don't know if Optimus uses a proton pack in the crossover comic, but it felt like he needed one.

A figure of Optimus Prime, painted up to match the colors of the Ghostbusters Ecto-1. His normally red parts are white, and his normally blue parts are black. He's got green windows and a red stripe under them. Here he's posed holding up a neutrona wand.

Oh hey I haven't posted a #vintagetoytuesday in a bit. Only vintage one here is Sub Zero, this is just an excuse to show the bad resin casts I made of the old Hasbro Mortal Kombat ninjas. Big solid lumps of resin with no articulation, but they look the part.

Three Mortal Kombat Ninja figure. On the right is the only actual figure, Sub Zero, a blue GI-Joe style figure. The other two aren unarticulated resin copies. In the center is Ermac, a red ninja with green eyes. On the left is an unpainted ninja, all white, a big Ccrack is visible in his chest because I am not good at resin molding.

It is #makeaterriblecomicday2026 Participation is mandatory. I've wanted to make a comic for a while about how my how my cat treats my wife and I while we're trying to sleep. Every single night. I made it extra terrible by drawing it on one of those rainbow digital doodling tablets.

A 4 panel comic titled "MY CAT GOES TO BED" - the title appears to be a panel with a drawing of my wife and I in bed under the covers sleeping and a cat standing on the floor to the left of the bed. It is not, this drawing is part of the title.

Panel 1, expertly marked with a big number 2 states "Cat Climbs Up, somehow takes 10,000 steps to walk across me." A drawing of this action is depicted, my cat traverses the width of my body and appears to have 6 legs while she does so.

Panel 2, marked with a big 2 says "Cat stops." And the drawing depicts my cat standing between myself and my wife. I am deceased from the stepping.

Panel 3, marked with a big 3, states "Cat leaps" and it depicts my cat leaping from my corpse into the air.

Panel 4, shocking marked with a 4, states "My God! My God in heaven! The Elbow! From the top rope!" And depicts my cat, having turned into the wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage, wearing his trademark sunglasses and a beard, and a poorly drawn muchular human body, delivering an elbow drop to my wife, who is quite surprised by this action. The quote actually comes from a Shane McMahon elbow drop, and was from the top of a cage, not the top rope.

The entire terrible comic in done in ugly rainbow line work on a white background - a result of drawing it using a kid's tablet taking low quality pictures of each panel, inverting the colors, and arranging them in photoshop. A technique that I don't think is industry standard or recommended

Blokees says no brush required, but that didn't feel true for DOTM megatron, who is a pile of grey and beige Now he's a pile of silver, grey, beige, and rust. Only used the Universal Studios meet and greet Megatron for reference. Cause he's why I bought the toy, I've never seen DOTM

Blokees Dark of the Moon megatron, slathered with paint to highlight details and make him look rusty and crusty.

He's posed like he's getting ready to get tackled. I don't think the toy moves very well for a Blokees figure, and now I'm hesitant to move it more because of the paint, but that works because neither does the suit at Universal Studios
