yu should've seen this coming. she should have. yet some part of her thought yosuke wouldn't care. not really. not beyond a general curiosity. not beyond a talking point, or a bit of trivia the way knowing where someone keeps their porn is fun but doesn't really matter. yosuke's hands are under yu's futon now, where she keeps three gravure magazines and a selection of photographs tucked randomly into each because she her uncle is one story but nanako is another. she didn't let yosuke see the photographs though. so she's sitting on her magazines with the photographs while yosuke sits between her legs and reaches under her. spitefully searching for her porn. it's so obvious. part of yu wants to spite her in return.

“i don't have a type.”

“really?” yosuke's close now. not in a way they've never been. they're always in each other's space, especially when they're helping each other up during fights or pushing each other out of the way.

it's not new but it's getting there because yosuke's attention is fully on her. yu feels like something might happen no matter what she says. what yu can't tell is whether that something will be good, and that makes her nervous.

soobin grabs yeonjun’s hand and squeezes it so quickly that yeonjun would have missed it if she weren’t involved. her bashfulness takes on a more flustered edge; yeonjun feels it rolling off soobin in time with the slow, heavy breeze dragging through the tennis court and roiling up more heat.

“you’re pretty. really pretty.” yeonjun pushes her fingers up between soobin’s, squeezing again. “m’not just saying it to be nice, soobin-ah. i really mean it.”

“i know,” soobin says quickly. not only is it adorable but it makes yeonjun much happier than soobin denying it or brushing her off. soobin returns the squeeze, pulling yeonjun’s hand off her thigh. she presses yeonjun’s palm against her stomach, soft and hot even though they’ve been here long enough to cool off. “thank you.”

yeonjun leans in and bites soobin’s cheek.

“oh my god!” soobin yells, failing to squirm away from yeonjun’s teeth until yeonjun lets her.

“sorry,” yeonjun chimes. she doesn’t mean it, which earns her a pinch. “ow!” so soobin can tell, huh?

i know i'm pushing it with these sentences for this #3sentencefic fill but that's yosuke's fault i swear. also i recently learnt hananaru is the name for this variant of hanashu and it's so cute so to celebrate have yosuke thirsting,

yosuke gets why yu returns to inaba every year: there’s nothing like being with people who give a damn, even if it’s around an already-dingy plastic table beaten dingier over the years. it’s dangerous though, especially in the shimmery summer heat, watching yu watching him over a bottle of pocari dripping condensate down its shiny glass length to its shiny rim where it rolls onto and smears on yu’s shiny mouth.

so dangerous that when teddie asks if yosuke still wants to check out the night market right after yu declines in favour of staying home that night, yosuke says: “maybe tomorrow, ted”—he can’t even pretend to look away from yu (and his gloam-grey eyes, his misty smile, his something-something that still captivates yosuke) the way he used to when they were sixteen—“think i’m staying in tonight.”
