a BEAUTIFUL SUKKAH built with 100% LEGITIMATELY ACQUIRED GREENEERY

A sukkah built in a back garden using the fence as two of the three walls and a clothes rack covered in a sheet as the third wall. The ceiling is a lush pile of LEGITIMATELY ACQUIRED leaves and branches. It’s furnished with a table with tea lights and a flower in a Smirnoff bottle vase, two chairs, a rug and for some reason a broken radiator.

Made mostly out of scrap cardboard and old book pages. The vines are embroidery thread and Mod Podge.

A cardboard castle wall ornament, 2D except for a drawbridge held up by chains which extends into the foreground. The bricks, wood planks and vine leaves are all made of painted pieces of book pages and have text still visible.

The same castle, but the doors have been opened to reveal a hidden interior garden scene with a stag, rose bush and bird.

dragging myself kicking and screaming into the habit of actually posting things I’ve spent a lot of time making. here’s a thing I made mostly from scrap cardboard, foil and whatever was lying around.

Thanks to some poor time management today I am proud to announce I #madehistory as the first trans man to eat a full Afghan cooked breakfast on the Thameslink from Cambridge to St Pancras.

A full cooked breakfast in a metal takeaway container spread out over two fold-down train tables, including tomatoey eggs, hummus, hash browns, veggie sausages, beans, cucumber and tomato salad, carrots and paratha.

I love making gay art out of mid-century comic annuals

Frances was said to love brightly coloured dresses. Aniline dyes were first synthesised in the 1850s, sparking a fashion for bright colours which I took as inspiration. This outfit is probably a bit beyond her means as a laundress- I tried to imagine how she might see her most aspirational self.

According to the article I read that documented the police doing this, the women’s clothes they put her in were not hers, they were just whatever they had lying around the station. I wanted to imagine an outfit she might have taken pride in rather than depict something that was forced on her.

If you’re wondering why she’s in a different outfit than the one on her Wikipedia page, I strongly suspect that drawing is copied from a police photo of her. They took photos of her in both men’s and women’s clothes to send to other cities, to prevent her from moving elsewhere and living as a woman.
