This morning, we proudly cut the ribbon on the new Sarah Roberts School in Roslindale! In 1847, a brave five-year-old girl and her father became the first to challenge school segregation in court. Sarah Roberts and her father, Benjamin Roberts, sued the City of Boston. 🧵

Mayor Wu has always been a staunch advocate for city workers and it's been an honor to help her push paid family leave benefits at City Hall across the finish line. When I had my first daughter in 2017, I was one of those city workers represented by a union and not covered by the first roll out.
